Gastronomy takes over CASACOR Minas 2017. Architect Gabi Braga and businessman and gourmand Sérgio Figueiredo have joined forces to lead weeks of culinary events involving dish preparation and tasting with the best chefs and restaurants.

The culinary events program takes place in parallel with the exhibition, in the Santa Cruz Functional Kitchen space, designed by Gabriela Azeredo and Patrícia Pires. August 15, Tuesday, 5:30pm to 7:30pm | Chef Vinícius Justo | Class: Water, earth and fire Starter: leafy salad, grilled fennel and smoked salmon gravlax flakes. Main: rack of lamb with mint bearnaise. Dessert: plantain with macadamia crunch and chocolate ganache with coffee and creamy dulce de leche. August 24, Thursday, 8pm to 10pm | Chef Felipe Galastro | Class: Musings on iron, wood and fire Meats, beers and grills. August 25, Friday, 8pm to 10pm | Chef Carol Stoffella and nutritionist Fernanda Calvo | Class: Plant Based: healthy cooking Starter: low-carb bread, antipasto and protein-rich vegan cheeses. Main course: heart of palm ravioli with mushroom scallop and seaweed pesto. Dessert: raw cheesecake with red fruit sauce. August 26, Saturday, 5:30pm to 7:30pm | Chef Gabriel Trillo | Class: Avant-garde Minas Gerais Cuisine Menu to be confirmed. August 29, Tuesday, 8pm to 10pm | Chef Américo Piacenza | Class: The secret behind Italian cantinas Italian pasta. August 30, Wednesday, 8pm to 10pm | Chef Felipe Leroy & SUCASA | Class: Saudali presents Cubed Pork A pork trilogy. August 31, Thursday, 8pm to 10pm | Chef Pamela Sarkis | Class: Fit, functional and vegan cuisine Starter: chestnut ricotta and leek on vegan bread. Main: mushroom kafta and vegetable tagliatelli. Dessert: apricot and coconut protein bonbon. September 12, Tuesday, 8pm to 10pm | Chef Thiago Chiericatti | Class: The magic of ArtFood Starter: pear with parma ham and Minas cheese.
Dessert: deconstructed panna cotta with dulce de leche. September 13, Wednesday, 8pm to 10pm | Chef Raquel Novais | Class: A special chicken with okra Special chicken with okra: crispy chicken breast with toasted okra, cornmeal and canjiquinha in chicken sauce. September 14, Thursday, 8pm to 10pm | Chef Jaime Solares | Class: Missing my childhood in Cochabamba Starter: Bolivian-style ceviche. Main: pressed rib with peanut mousseline and herb gremolata. Dessert: creamy quinoa with pepper ice cream and tortilla crumbs. September 16, Saturday, 5:30pm to 7:30pm | Chef Beto Haddad | Class: Back from China Perfect combination of China and Thailand: pasta, rice, beef and sprouts.
The cost of each dinner is R$170 and includes sparkling and still water. Backer beers and wines can be consumed separately at the restaurant.
