Coral reveals the Color of the Year 2024: Place of Affection!

Tintas Coral has just announced its Color of the Year for 2024: Lugar de Afeto , a discreet and elegant pinkish neutral, which was inspired by the lightness of feathers and the delicacy of clouds. With the proposal to serve as a solid base for various combinations, the shade is the result of AkzoNobel's study of behavioral and color trends, Color Futures; in addition to presenting the brand's interpretation of the theme "My Place in the World".

"If a color could embrace your home , this color is, without a doubt, Place of Affection,” explains Juliana Zaponi , Marketing Communication and Color Manager for Decorative Paints at AkzoNobel. “Warm and delicate, the color of 2024 brings a touch of softness and comfort to decoration, without being overly romantic.”

The three color palettes that accompany the launch of the Lugar de Afeto hue have gained three representatives who embody the meaning of the colors: Thiago Oliveira , a journalist and TV host who speaks openly about representation in Brazilian media spaces; Thaila Ayala , an actress and model and mother of two children who shares the challenges of motherhood on social media; and Astrid Fontenelle , a positive and upbeat host known for discussing topics related to behavior, relationships and current affairs on TV. The palettes intended for each of them are, respectively, the Search for Belonging , the Search for Inner Peace and the Search for Contentment .

“We looked for a soft, welcoming color that could transform any home into a personal haven to deal with the challenges we each face on a daily basis. We sought a gentle, positive color that could be used on its own in a simple décor scheme or complemented by a wide range of other colors,” explains Heleen Van Gent , creative director of AkzoNobel’s Global Aesthetic Center, based in Amsterdam.
