Speed, practicality and cost are the aspects that everyone looks for when starting a construction project. And now, more than ever, sustainability is becoming a priority for consumers. The
container home is a new market trend that encompasses all of these characteristics. The use of shipping containers for more than just transporting goods is nothing new. They have been used as homes for people displaced by natural disasters, and in England there is even a cluster called Container City.

In 2013, architect Cristina Menezes created a 100% sustainable environment for
CASA COR Minas using containers and received five international awards for the project.

In 2015, at
CASA COR São Paulo , Daniel Kalil and Karinna Buchalla built a house with a total area of 170 m² in just 15 days.
In this year's edition of CASA COR Minas, three projects will use shipping containers as their base structure. One of them is Casulo, created by architects Giulianno Camatta, Bernardo Horta, Guilherme Rocha and Pedro Mattos. The space will function as a barber shop that can be transformed into a home by changing the arrangement of the multifunctional furniture. Architect Felipe Soares' loft will also be built in a shipping container. The 30 m² space will have all the functions of a normal house, with a kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom. Juliana Lima and Bruna Bonfante will be responsible for the office. The project will take advantage of the structure's mobility to create a mobile office, very useful for companies that work in a different place every hour.

At the show, the company Contlog is the supplier of containers and will customize the structures including the necessary thermal insulation, finishing and implementation of the hydraulic and water system.
