CONAD 2023: everything you need to know about the event!

The ABD CONAD – National Congress of Interior Design will bring together professionals from all over the country in an event that brings updates and discussions relevant to the profession. The event will take place on August 3rd and 4th, from 10 am to 6 pm, at the WTC Events Center Theater , attached to D&D Shopping , in São Paulo . In its 15th edition , it presents to the public the theme “ The DNA of Brazilian Interior Design ”, with the purpose of bringing participants to reflect on how the plural singularity of our culture can influence the production of contemporary Brazilian interior design and differentiate us in our production.

During the first day of the congress, participants will be invited to discover how Brazilian culture is hybrid and rich, and how the meeting of different peoples and their different cultural heritages generated a heritage that is at the root of design in the five regions of Brazil, in addition to presenting professionals with reference work from each region. Sérgio Matos and Marcelo Rosenbaum will host a debate on the DNA of Design in the North of Brazil on August 3rd . The talk will aim to show the main differences in creating a project in the northernmost region of the country and how cultural issues impact interior design projects. On the same day, Tunico Lages will bring to “ The DNA of design in the central-west of Brazil ” the singularities of the central plateau. The designer will highlight how the region in which he lives inspires and instigates his productions, creating a unique DNA full of Brazilianness.

Marcelo Salum, Marcelo Fialho and Simone Bobsin bring the essence of southern Brazil to CONAD 2023 , with the talk “ The DNA of design in southern Brazil ”. The reflection that will be brought by the participants points out which technical capabilities are taken into account in interior design projects in this region, considering aspects such as climate and space occupation. Anderson Diego da Silva Almeida, Bruna Dória and Ana Carolina Sarmento bring the roots, icons and popular symbols of the northeast to the agenda of the talk “ The DNA of design in the northeast , bringing to the conversation practices adopted by designers in the region" .

Juliana Zaponi, Christie Schulka, Glaucus Cianciardi, Claudia Ferrari, Daniel Alves, Fernando Assad and Katia Perrone are some of the names confirmed to discuss different topics on the last day of the event.

The largest and main interior design event in Latin America is promoted by ABD – Brazilian Association of Interior Designers , which has national reach and has been working for 43 years for the union, appreciation and excellence of professionals throughout the country.
