Since 2014, CASACOR has been taking actions focused on sustainability and, with the mission of being a model in architecture, interior design and landscaping, in 2016 it made a commitment to seek ISO 14.001 certification by 2020.
In 2018, according to the published sustainability report , the São Paulo show adopted a series of measures and solutions aligned with the CASACOR 2020 Sustainability Plan . Of the 2,323.73 tons of waste generated, 99.3% were diverted from landfills sanitary facilities, being reused or recycled. The total amount of waste generated was 8% lower than the stipulated target, which represented a decrease of 41.55 kg in each square meter of decorated environment.
Last year, CASACOR suggested the execution of constructions with dry technology, obtaining some results from the participants. As the projects were successful and received a lot of feedback from the public and the real possibility of applying these technologies was contacted, in the 2019 edition, the masonry can only be carried out after technical proof and functional requirements. "In this way, we will promote the banning of masonry that does not have a technical function, as this is an ephemeral architectural event", adds the architect.
Industrialized construction systems combine precision, significant time savings and even greater benefits for the environment. The use of resistant modular structures, planned and assembled quickly, avoids the waste of natural resources, especially water, without construction sites or bricks.
