CASACOR SP at Parque da Água Branca: what is being done?
A CASACOR São Paulo is moving to a new home in 2025: Parque da Água Branca, an urban green space of great historical and cultural importance, with 137 thousand square meters of preserved remnants of the Atlantic Forest located in Água Branca, São Paulo. The largest cultural platform for architecture, landscaping, and interior design in the Americas will be in the park from May 27 to August 3, 2025 bringing more than 70 environments to an area of which a total of 1,642 m² will be shared with the park's users. But CASACOR is much more than that: its transformative potential and the legacy it will leave in the park are also significant.

Why will the exhibition be at the Park?

In its history, CASACOR has been through various important points in the city of São Paulo bringing transformation, improvements, and shining a light on the historical heritage belonging to all Paulistanos. In the last three years – from 2022 to 2024 – the exhibition was hosted at Conjunto Nacional, occupying a prime area in the heart of Avenida Paulista that had been deactivated and unused for more than 10 years. Now, as part of its itinerant nature, the exhibition shines a light on Parque da Água Branca – an unprecedented location chosen for its potential to engage with this year's exhibition theme, "Sowing Dreams," materializing the desire to return to a wooded and open-air area, with its 137 thousand m² of green space and its 62 buildings, which is also strategically located in the capital of São Paulo, amidst a new hub of cultural institutions, bars, restaurants, and art galleries in the city.

Holding CASACOR at this location will contribute to its recovery and re-signification, placing it on the map of attractions in the city for residents and tourists. Thus, the brand also continues to fulfill its purpose of rescuing the architectural and cultural memory of the place it occupies, collaborating for its regeneration and that of its surroundings.

What is being done?

CASACOR São Paulo is in the pre-installation phase, during which several improvements are already being made and will continue to happen in the buildings where it will be housed during the exhibition period, known as Casa do Fazendeiro (building 23) and Instituto de Pesca (building 22). Among them are: cleaning and sanitizing the buildings, promoting accessibility to the buildings with the installation of elevators, maintenance of the roofs, and removal of old partitions that were infested with termites, in addition to the restoration of the staircase of building 23, whose project is being developed for approval by the heritage agencies and subsequent execution.

All actions conform to the regulations of the Park Concessionaire and have been approved by the Municipal Council for the Preservation of Historical, Cultural, and Environmental Heritage of the City of São Paulo (Conpresp) and the Council for the Defense of Historical, Archaeological, Artistic, and Tourist Heritage of the State of São Paulo (Condephaat). In addition, all actions are validated by the Secretariat of the Environment, Infrastructure, and Logistics of the State of SP (Semil).

How will the park look after the exhibition?

At the end of the exhibition, the spaces will be renewed and returned to the people and the city. Thus, buildings 22 and 23 can be used for other exhibitions – such as arts, design, and other areas of the creative economy. The idea is to attract an opinion-forming audience into the park, stimulating frequency and exchange of ideas in the exhibition space. Additionally, the park can reach its potential as a hub that attracts investments and business opportunities from supporting brands – just like what happened at Conjunto Nacional.

Therefore, after the passage of CASACOR, the exhibition will leave its requalified buildings as a legacy for visitors and the entire city of São Paulo. Furthermore, the exhibition will respect the built and projects heritage, promoting protection to the existing fauna and flora, with temporary and fully removable interventions, ensuring the brand's sustainability standards. Additionally, partnerships will be developed with NGOs, associations, and supporters of the event to promote social responsibility. We will soon provide more news about the partnerships developed by CASACOR.
