CASACOR São Paulo 2024 celebrates closing with the presentation of the Veja Prize

Last Wednesday (24) of CASACOR São Paulo 2024 took place in a festive and nostalgic atmosphere. The entire CASACOR team and the cast of professionals who made the largest architecture , art , interior design and landscaping event in the Americas happen gathered at Caracol Bar to celebrate another very successful edition of the São Paulo show. The beginning of the evening was marked by the announcement that everyone was eagerly awaiting: the address of CASACOR São Paulo 2025. The video prepared by CASACOR moved the audience by revealing that, after three years at Conjunto Nacional, the next edition of the show will be held at Parque da Água Branca . And finally, the Veja Award for Best Environment in CASACOR São Paulo was presented! In its third edition, the award was presented by Arnaldo Lourençato and Alice Granato, executive editor and editor-in-chief of Veja SP, respectively. CASACOR CEO André Secchin, relationship director Cris Ferraz, and curators Lívia Pedreira and Pedro Ariel also led the ceremony, which presented awards to the cast of architects in 14 different categories. Marcelo Salum - Duratex em As Rosas Falam. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2024. Marcelo Salum - Duratex em As Rosas Falam. A investigação do profissional levou-o a mergulhar em estudos sobre a proporção áurea. “Meu processo criativo me direcionou às flores, e daí à exaltação do feminino”, explica. Tons de azul e rosa acompanham a madeira clara no padrão Bétula, lançamento da Duratex que preenche piso, teto e trechos de parede da casa de 260 m². O mobiliário traz itens de Jader Almeida, Mauricio Arruda, Suite Design e assinados pelo próprio arquiteto em parceria com Frederico Cruz. Obras de arte de Claudia Liz e Paulo von Poser dividem as atenções com fotografias de Denilson Machado e Salvador Cordaro, entre outros artistas.

Gabriel Fernandes - Casa Veredas Simonetto. Despertar reminiscências do imaginário rural é o intuito desta casa de 120 m², que homenageia a vida caipira. O hall de entrada se conecta ao ato de costurar por meio da obra-instalação A Costura do Erro, de Adrianna Eu; o fogão é a lenha; e um oratório na saída lembra a importância de agradecer. Desafio técnico do projeto, a estante que viaja até o forro abriga blocos modelados por mulheres atendidas pelo Instituto Maria do Barro, de Brasília. Cada tijolo contido nos nichos representa a maneira como sua autora enxerga a casa. Atrás do sofá, mais uma joia: o painel montado com um antigo piso cerâmico de Francisco Brennand. In his debut at CASACOR, the architect was inspired by the tradition and spirituality of the Himba – inhabitants of northern Namibia and the last semi-nomadic people in Africa, they are deeply connected to the territory and their cultural references. Textures, earthy colors, artisanal ceramics, geometric patterns and natural materials orchestrate a sensorial experience and bring the 27 m² lavatory closer to this culture that reveres ancestors, gratitude and nature.
