In her first participation in CASACOR São Paulo, landscaper Mônica Costa wanted to create a garden in harmony with the original architecture of the Jockey Club, so she opted for classic landscaping elements, with several species of plants shaped using the topiary technique, and distributed in a symmetrical shape. “As it is a space next to the old Jockey clock, I sought to portray the passage of time with items that refer to the ancestral and the modern, such as faded ceramic vases and steel sculptures”, he explains.
The Jardim Tempo frames and integrates the Bar do Relógio, designed by Marcelo Diniz. The outdoor fireplaces allow visitors to enjoy the space even on cold days and celebrate with friends and companions.
Thinking about sustainability, which is one of the pillars of the exhibition, the landscaper did not build anything in the garden, which can be dismantled and reused. The topiaries of the golden thuja species, with 20-year-old plants, are reminiscent of French gardens from the 1950s and 1960s. . CASACOR SAO PAULO 2019: WHEN? From May 28th to August 4th
