Architect Juliana Pippi was inspired by the life of a contemporary woman to create her space at
CASACOR Santa Catarina 2017. The
Pink and Charcoal Room is more than just a space. The project was created based on the feminine universe - in the arts, in design, in music, in a
storytelling that involves the observer. Through senses and stories told through letters, the professional portrays this fictional character, who lives her time and her memories. "We work on the issue of memory and through it the character, the woman who inhabits this environment. From there we build a dramaturgy based on the letters, as this woman writes to a mysterious interlocutor - we do not justify the gender, nor the type of relationship . From this mystery we developed a story based on memories shared between both people, who communicate, with the house as a common place, full of sensations, emotions. All of this creates a web of symbolic connections that support the narrative", he explains. the actor, director and playwright Renato Turnes, who is the author of the texts. The context in which the exhibition takes place served as inspiration for the poetry of the project. The past and memories are rescued by the architecture of the property that hosts the event. The name of the space, inspired by the album by singer Marisa Monte, the color palette, the objects, furniture and works of art were perfectly harmonized to create the atmosphere of the space. Juliana Pippi will send letters to journalists, suppliers and opinion makers during the show. This group, made up of around 100 people, will be invited to live a special experience in the
Pink and Charcoal Room . Watch the video launching the space with a song sung by the architect in the background.
