(Juliano Colodeti, do MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
CASACOR São Paulo 2026 has been awarded the GBC Life Performance Rating seal in recognition of its comfort, health, and well-being initiatives present in the show's projects. The certification is issued by the Green Building Council Brasil based on the evaluation of healthiness criteria of already constructed spaces.
Ten projects from CASACOR São Paulo were chosen for analysis. Members of the cast received consultancy from Sustentech, CASACOR's sustainability partner, and afterwards the spaces were submitted to measurement. The results were positive and reaffirm the event's commitment to sustainable actions.
"CASACOR is a consolidated brand as a reference of inspiration on architecture, design, and landscaping always guided by human behavior. The achievement of the GBC Life highlights how such an important subject is treated by the organization and encouraged among our cast. The consequence is that the visiting public has more access to this information and how to take it into their daily lives," states Darlan Firmato, operations director of CASACOR São Paulo.
The GBC Life Performance Rating is a recent certification from the Green Building Council Brasil applied to residences, companies, public spaces, and events with constant occupancy of people. The criteria for its application were developed from international technical and scientific studies, namely: air quality, acoustic comfort, electromagnetic pollution, water quality, lighting, cleaning products, and biophilia.

Seeking to expand sustainability standards, CASACOR joined Sustentech to adapt to the established parameters. Bruno Schnellrath, product and innovation director at Sustentech, was responsible for guiding the teams, while consultant Stephany Pedrassa carried out the measurements to be sent to the GBC Brasil.

Each of the indicators has specific evaluation parameters, measured by equipment used by the technical team during the final visit to the show. The requirements are divided between mandatory and optional. To achieve the seal, CASACOR needed to meet all the mandatory ones and at least 40% of the extras.
Sustentech selected the ten projects of CASACOR São Paulo prioritizing the "permanence spaces", that is, those in which we stay for more than an hour. Among them are living rooms, bedrooms, offices, cafés, and restaurants.

For Darlan, the theme 'Mind and Heart', which guides the projects of CASACOR 2026, was the kick-off for the debates on healthiness. "This year the theme was very conducive to talking about the importance of health in a broad way, and how the spaces we inhabit need to reflect this need. I was very happy with the interpretations and materialization of the projects with this theme and I am sure it was equally observed by our public," he states.
Viviane Teles - Biobilheteria. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2026. (Carolina Mossin/CASACOR)
The projects evaluated and, subsequently, approved under the criteria of the GBC Life Performance Rating were: Bilheteria, by Viviane Telles; Cubikoo Pavilion, by Edward van Vliet; Qalb Boutique Café, by Teresa Simões Arquitetura; Apartamento Deca, by Gui & Dado Castello Branco; Casa da Marcenaria Brasileira | Duratex, by João Panaggio; Casa Coral Celeiro Alvorada, by Nildo José; Casa Brastemp, by Marcelo Salum; Suíte do Casal, by Daniel de Castro Cunha; Home Office Entre Veios, by Marina Salles Arquitetura e Interiores; and Speakeasy, by Studio Gaibola.
It is worth highlighting that the health of the projects is one of several concerns of CASACOR São Paulo regarding sustainability. In 2026, the show adopts best practices aiming at two other important achievements: the Zero Waste Certificate, already earned for five consecutive years, and the Accessibility Seal, from the Permanent Accessibility Commission (CPA), for the third time.
"I have always envisioned CASACOR as a stage for brands. A laboratory of experiences and experimentations with an attentive and critical audience, which brings many opportunities for everyone. Our avant-garde character also makes us responsible for the content we bring to this stage and to our visitors and followers," concludes Darlan Firmato.
