The CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul has launched the 2026 edition with the Open House, held on November 11 at the old terminal of Salgado Filho Airport in Porto Alegre. The event presented the new masterplan of the exhibition, which expands the occupation of the historic building and proposes a completely renewed visiting route, reaffirming the gaúcha edition as one of the most relevant platforms for design and architecture in the country.

More than just a new layout, the 2026 edition will also be a transformation of scale and perspective. An icon of modern architecture, the old airport gains new areas integrated into the main circuit, reinforcing the dialogue between art, design, and gastronomy. The expansion transforms the space into a territory of coexistence, creation, and discovery, maintaining Aldo Locatelli's panel as a starting point for a journey that connects the past and future.

Highlights of the next edition include the Art Space, with 380 m² dedicated to contemporary exhibitions, and the gastronomic axis, which brings together a restaurant, café, piano bar, and gelateria in a large square focused on permanence and socialization. The CASACOR Arena, the coworking area, and the Experience House broaden the dialogue with the creative market and reinforce the dynamic character of the exhibition.

“CASACOR RS is now a movement that goes beyond the walls of the exhibition. Being back at the old Salgado Filho airport reaffirms the commitment of the exhibition to Porto Alegre: revisiting the city, re-signifying its spaces, and projecting the future with a design perspective,” states Karina Capaverde, director of the exhibition.

Inspired by the national theme “Mind and Heart”, the 2026 edition proposes a circuit that unites reason and emotion in contemporary living, stimulating new ways of thinking and living spaces. The curatorship is signed by Karina and Vera Capaverde, directors of CASACOR RS, with Luciano Mota as director and Aclaene de Mello in technical curation. The opening is scheduled for July of next year.
