CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul celebrates its 28th edition in Porto Alegre with an important achievement. The exhibition has just been included in the city's official calendar of events, through a law authored by councilor Valter Nagelstein. Last Wednesday, 14/08, directors Valdecir Santos, Vera and Karina Capaverde, received press, authorities and guests to launch the exhibition yearbook and promulgate the document that makes the event official in the Capital. The choice of the Old Children's Hospital, which had been closed for almost 20 years, to host CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul has attracted attention from all sectors. The day was also attended by the state governor, Eduardo Leite. A fan of architecture and design, the authority calmly visited all the exhibition spaces and highlighted the importance of the event for the creative market. “In addition to inspiring and awakening the creativity of thousands of visitors, CASACOR is one of the main initiatives in the design and art market with great economic potential”, commented the governor. On the same afternoon, architects Caroline Kreling and Livia Bortoncello, members of Clube do Iberê, welcomed colleagues from the Fundação Iberê Camargo project in their environments on display at the event. According to the director, Karina Capaverde, joining the city's calendar means recognizing the importance of an event that is a reference for the national market, generating business, jobs and boosting the economy. “After 28 years of uninterrupted editions, CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul can be proud of this important moment”, celebrates the director. Councilor Valter Nagelstein also highlights that the event develops projects to revitalize the architectural heritage of the cities where it operates, returning buildings to the community and enhancing its surroundings, both structurally and conceptually. “CASACOR receives, every year, an average of 30 thousand visitors in almost 60 days of exhibition, attracting local professionals in the areas of architecture, landscaping and interior design”, highlights Nagelstein. The launch of the yearbook was also attended by Grupo Abril's content and relationship director Pedro Ariel Santana. The environments designed by architects Daniel Wilges and Marilia Zimmermman were chosen for the two covers of the edition, which has a circulation of 5 thousand copies and is available for purchase at the exhibition and on the official website.
