Committed to finding solutions to help rebuild homes devastated by floods in Rio Grande do Sul, CASACOR RS is joining forces with Mobília do Bem, a project focused on restoring homes in Rio Grande do Sul that were destroyed by floods. In addition to helping to publicize the social action, the show will use its network of contacts, including franchises from other states, brands, suppliers, service providers and volunteer architects , to engage and attract partners. Leading the project, architect Ana Hamacek explains that Mobília do Bem is made up of a team of architects, designers and engineers from ten Brazilian states. The action aims to collect furniture in good condition and connect partner companies from all over the country to donate construction materials. The project will be responsible for all logistical coordination: from transportation and storage to delivery of donations to beneficiaries . More than 15,000 families have already registered on the platform with an interest in receiving the furniture. Fifty standard furniture kits are already being prepared, designed to meet the needs of 50 affected families . Through carpentry, hardware and accessory partners, the sets will be assembled in several states and later sent to Rio Grande do Sul. As the supplier network grows, the goal is to add more items such as mattresses, bed and bath linens and complementary furniture. “CASACOR RS is recognized for giving new meaning to spaces that are part of the city’s memory. This is the time to recover lost homes so that these families, who have suffered so many losses, can live new stories after so much sadness,” says Karina Capaverde , director of CASACOR RS. Mobília do Bem already has representatives from Bahia, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo , but it continues to expand with professionals and companies from other states who wish to contribute. "The mobilization of professionals and companies will be fundamental for this reconstruction. Our intention is to engage companies in the sector to help Mobília do Bem, a very important project that works towards this same purpose. We invite all our partners to join us in this chain of goodness", highlights Karina. The Rio Grande do Sul edition of CASACOR, the largest architecture, design and landscaping exhibition in the Americas, is scheduled for the second half of the year.
