CASACOR RS supports the creation of decompression spaces in hospitals

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul is supporting a collective of architects from Rio Grande do Sul who organized a task force to build temporary and permanent spaces for decompression and coexistence for health professionals from hospitals in Porto Alegre and the metropolitan region. The group, which has as its founder and director the architect Daniela Giffoni , aims to offer a better quality of life for those who are working to combat Covid-19. Among the first hospitals to receive help from the group are: Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, Hospital Materno Infantil Presidente Vargas, Hospital Porto Alegre and Hospital Geral de Novo Hamburgo.
Dozens of architects working in the Rio Grande do Sul market are involved in the project teams. Among them, the professionals from the 2020 CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul cast: Érika Listo, Joana Deicke, Luciana Pestana, Rogério Pandolfo, Sabrina Sbardelotto and the event curator herself, Aclaene de Mello. Érika, who is a mentor for one of the working groups, emphasizes: “Architects have a very important social role. We need to be humane and generous now, more than ever.”
On April 2, the first project was delivered, for the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre with 370 m². The architects took advantage of the structure of the new hospital building to adapt some areas. The footage was divided into several sectors and will include dormitories. , decompression areas, changing rooms, pantry, dressing rooms and private rooms. All with a disruptive design to hospital concepts, with armchairs, poufs and hints of warm colors to bring the spaces to life.

Several companies that supply products in the segment have already joined the cause with donations, but the group is looking for new supporters. To help, an online fundraiser was started to raise funds. Of the goal of raising R$60,000, more has already been raised. of R$ 20 thousand. Contribute!
