A
CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul launches the
official yearbook for the 2025 edition, amidst the largest and most symbolic urban occupation in its history. This year's exhibition returns to the city one of its most iconic spaces —
the old passenger terminal of Salgado Filho Airport — and transforms the location, closed since 2019, into a vibrant territory for creation, memory, and dreams.
With
40 new projects signed by more than 50 professionals, the exhibition is open to the public until July 13 and has the theme “
Sowing Dreams.” The concept permeates the entire exhibition narrative and also
guides the editorial perspective of the yearbook. The publication exclusively presents
images and details of each project, accompanied by
curated texts that reveal the concepts, materials, and inspirations of the architects, designers, and artists involved. The edition is curated by Karina Capaverde, features photography by Cristiano Bauce, and includes a special report by Xarão.
More than just a catalog, the yearbook establishes itself as a
record of a historic edition — which, besides occupying a modernist building from 1953, dealt with the direct impacts of the
flood that hit Porto Alegre in May 2024. In one of the city's most delicate moments, the exhibition faced the
challenge of moving forward and reopening its doors with even more meaning. The special feature “Beauty Resists” revisits this trajectory with
sensitivity and depth — marking, on printed pages, what was experienced collectively.

The edition's cover features the project
CASA VOLTA, by architect
Izabela Pagani, which synthesizes this spirit of reconnection between the interior and the exterior. With a composition that values the view of the airport runway, the landscape gains
status as an architectural element, expanding the dialogue between art, design, technology, and nature. The space, inspired by bioart, lightly translates the idea of
continuous transformation — a perspective of the world that remains in motion.

“This yearbook is more than just a portrait of the exhibition. It's a
printed memory of a collective time, a gesture that preserves the strength of this edition and all that it represents,” highlights
Karina Capaverde, director of CASACOR RS. With a limited print run, the yearbook is already available for purchase at the exhibition's reception (CASACOR RS 2025 – Old terminal of Salgado Filho Airport, Av. dos Estados, 747) and also through the official website (
