The opening was led by partner-director Patricia Mayer, who recalled the CASACOR Rio journey and highlighted the leading role of the Rio edition as a national reference. In her presentation, Patricia recalled that the first show took place in Urca and emphasized that, throughout its history, the event has occupied different addresses in the city, offering new perspectives on Rio living.

The arrival in downtown Rio reinforces the show's commitment to valuing historical heritage and dialogues with the region's revitalization movement, driven by the Reviver Centro project. Next, Patricia Quentel presented the edition's sponsors and highlighted that the show will take place simultaneously with the Rio de Janeiro Art and Culture Week. The CASACOR Rio opening is scheduled for one week before the start of the cultural program.

Architect Mário Costa Santos, responsible for the CASACOR Rio implementation since 1998, signs the edition's assembly guidelines and the theme "Mind and Heart," which will guide the show's projects.

Among the professionals present were Jairo de Sender, who participated in the first CASACOR Rio edition in 1991 and returns to the show after seven years; Gisele Taranto, Paula Neder, Tiago Freire, Cadé Marino, Sérgio Conde Caldas, and Cajoo Studio, making its CASACOR Rio debut.

The edition will occupy five floors, in addition to the rooftop and ground floor of the Aliança da Bahia Building, forming a complex of studios, lofts, apartments, and common leisure areas that serve the residents. The projects will present new ways of living, including proposals inspired by the coliving concept. A symbol of Rio's modernist architecture, the building also stands out for innovative solutions, such as its own solar plant and the fastest elevator in Brazil, attributes that align with the show's contemporary proposal.

CASACOR Rio 2026 will be held from September 15 to November 8. The edition will bring together great names in Brazilian architecture, young talents, and new firms in one of the most emblematic buildings in the state capital.
