With the stunning view of São Conrado as inspiration,
Paola Ribeiro presents an innovative space at
CASACOR Rio 2024. The space, called
Living Casa Shopping , has a large integrated living area that combines a dining room, gourmet space and lavatory in a fluid and harmonious way. "This year, my space represents Casa Shopping, and my intention was to create a
contemporary space that highlights the diversity of pieces available in the mall's stores," explains Paola.
In line with this year's theme, Paola reflects on the importance of the home as a reflection of who we are and the legacy we want to leave. The project proposes a modern interpretation of living,
balancing sustainable technologies with timeless references . "I sought to direct the project towards what modern living would be like, in a sustainable and technological way, without giving up the past," she says.
Although Paola does not follow trends, she reveals that
her creative process is intuitive and guided by pieces that move her. The space explores classic, modern and contemporary styles with lightness and sophistication, creating a balance between tradition and innovation. According to the architect, "
CASACOR is a moment of creative freedom . I like to be a chameleon, but always maintaining my essence," she highlights.
Among the project's standout elements are the walls covered in wood panels that evoke the movement of screens, an imposing gourmet counter in Dekton that connects to the dining table, and the bathroom that transforms into a library, bringing an unusual and welcoming proposal.
The furniture is another highlight, with pieces designed by renowned designers such as Sérgio Rodrigues and Maria Cândida Machado. The lamps, developed by Studio Rain and the lighting project by Maneco Quinderé, complete the space with elegance and sophistication.
In addition to design, sustainability was a central concern when choosing materials. Paola emphasizes that
all items were selected with the most modern sustainability in mind , demonstrating her commitment to the environment and the conscious use of resources.
Finally, the space was designed to be more than just visually appealing.
Functionality is a priority, creating an
inviting and practical environment for everyday life. "I created a room that invites you to receive friends, offering a spacious, integrated, comfortable and welcoming space," concludes the architect.
