CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2022: meet the chefs at the helm of Lechuza

Graduates of Peru's Le Cordon Bleu, Gustavo Marques from Rio Grande do Sul and Gonzalo Ortuño from Chile are responsible for the event's Latin-influenced menu

Stage of the main trends in architecture , design and landscaping , CASACO Rio Grande do Sul 2022 reaches its 30th edition next week (from August 6th to October 2nd ), with a historic edition in the century-old building Pia Chaves Barcellos (Rua Dona Leonor, 360), in Porto Alegre. In addition to the 40 environments designed by renowned professionals and new market options, gastronomy also promises to be one of the highlights of the edition which, this year, will feature two spaces dedicated to food and a wine bar.

Graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Peru, chefs Gustavo Marques and Chilean Gonzalo Ortuño are the names behind the menu at Lechuza, a restaurant that will have Latin cuisine as its main influence and has an atmosphere designed by architect Aclaene de Mello . The duo's affinity arose while studying at Le Cordon Bleu Peru, between 2017 and 2019, and both had the same purpose of researching and promoting the flavors and identity of Latin cuisine. Having worked in the kitchens of the renowned Sal Gastronomia (SP), Moshi (Cartagena, Colombia) and Mérito (Lima, Peru), Gustavo also gained experience in events during the season he worked at one of the most renowned wineries in Peru (Bodega Murga) . Gonzalo, after graduating, dedicated himself to teaching Gastronomy classes at the Technological University of Chile (Inacap). In the joint project created for CASACOR RS 2022, you will have the opportunity to present your references. The menu is lean, designed to serve the public at different times of the day , happy hour and dinner from Tuesday to Friday and lunch, happy hour and dinner on weekends. With options for starters to share, snacks, main dishes and desserts.
Another new feature this year is access to the restaurant, which is located at the entrance to the event and is free. Opening hours will be from Tuesday to Sunday, from 3pm to 11pm . Lechuza will also serve harmonized dinners during the event period, with themes associated with Latin cuisine. The schedule and menus will be presented soon. In addition to Lechuza, CASACOR RS will have a wine bar, operated by Terroir Vinhos and a café, signed by Ginko. About the 30th edition of CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul CASACOR RS completes 30 editions this year. The event takes place from August 6th to October 2nd at the Pia Chaves Barcellos building, in Porto Alegre. There are 3,500 square meters of total area divided into 40 environments designed by architects, interior designers and landscapers. There are suites, studios, living rooms, bedrooms and complete apartments, as well as external areas. The plan for the future of the building is to house the Pampeano School, and the project will have as its starting point the restoration and revitalization work led by Studio1 Arquitetura.
