Sandro Ward – Façade Garden. The tropical garden uses many native plants from the Atlantic Forest that were already in the house’s extensive green area, but also includes new additions such as philodendrons and exotic species, such as the giant African Aloe Vera and the Blue Yucca, originally from Mexico. In terms of furniture, a new addition: outdoor furniture in synthetic fiber and nautical fabric created by architect Mario Santos. (André Nazareth)
Following a decree from Rio City Hall, CASACOR Rio de Janeiro will have new opening dates starting this Friday (26). The exhibition will remain closed from March 26 to April 4 (Sunday), in line with the new municipal regulations. If you have purchased a ticket to visit CASACOR Rio between these dates , you can change the date of your visit to a later date, depending on availability. In the year that celebrates the 30th anniversary of the first edition of the exhibition, CASACOR Rio de Janeiro brings a hybrid format for 2021: the in-person version, focusing on the experience of visiting the house, presents 38 environments in the Palacete Brando Barbosa, an iconic address in the Botanical Garden surrounded by 12 thousand m² of Atlantic Forest. The digital part expands the experience of the public, who even from a distance, can explore every detail of the projects - including spaces, courtyards and gardens - through 3D Tours , photos, videos and the digital yearbook.
