This is the third time that Cadé Marino has participated in CASACOR Rio de Janeiro , but this year's project marks his solo debut. This year, the architect created Estúdio Brisa do Norte , a 70 m² residence with integrated spaces and decor inspired by the nature and ancestry of the northern region of Brazil.
To reflect the natural richness of the Amazon , the architect covered all the carpentry in tauari – certified wood with a light tone, native to this region – and integrated two linear gardens into the space, one behind the bed and the other behind the sofa .
One of the project's highlights is, without a doubt, the multifunctional floor-to-ceiling bookcase , measuring 11 linear meters, which begins at the studio's access door and ends at the large window facing the street. At living room level, the unit takes on the role of a kitchen , with a sink and cooktop accommodated inside a large dekton niche.
Next comes the library with an attached, organically shaped top that can be used as a dining table , study table or work table. Finally, at the height of the bedroom , there is an even larger niche with a coat rack on top for hanging clothes. In addition to its generous dimensions, the piece of furniture also draws attention due to its honeycomb-shaped design, mirrored across the ceiling and replicated in the openwork partitions that separate the sleeping area from the bathroom and living room.
The decor follows a minimalist contemporary style , with a color palette of light, earthy tones and natural materials rich in textures that give the studio a serene and welcoming atmosphere. “The sofa and bed were upholstered in the same bouclé fabric, in an off-white tone, and the rugs were hand-woven in thick cotton fibers. Although the floor is porcelain, we chose a model with the appearance of natural stone,” explains Cadé.
All the furniture has curved, circular and rounded shapes, with emphasis on some pieces from the 2024 collection, such as the Amana modular sofa and Moara bed, designed by Nildo José , and the Guaruçá armchairs , designed by Maurício Arruda.
