The CASACOR Rio de Janeiro has already defined the cast that will bring to life the commemorative edition of its 35th anniversary. Between September 15 and November 8, 2026, the historic Aliança da Bahia Building, recently restored and located in front of the Gustavo Capanema Palace, will host a group of professionals representing different generations, languages, and moments of Brazilian architecture and design. The building underwent a retrofit designed by the Ruy Rezende Arquitetura office, one of the leading names in Rio's architecture, reinforcing a dialogue between heritage and contemporaneity that the show will once again promote this year.

The edition reaffirms CASACOR Rio's vocation as a platform for valuing the city's architecture, design, landscaping, art, and culture, presenting the Carioca way of living to Brazil and to the world. By occupying an emblematic building in downtown Rio de Janeiro, the show broadens the dialogue between heritage, contemporaneity, and new ways of living, taking as its starting point the theme "Mind and Heart", which invites architects, interior designers, and landscapers to reflect on spaces devoted to welcoming, memory, well-being, and human connections. The layout of the show, led since 1998 by architect Mário Costa Santos, helps translate this concept into a spatial experience that, over the past decades, has become one of CASACOR Rio's trademarks.

In a symbolic edition for the show's history, the cast was designed to bring together professionals who helped build CASACOR Rio's trajectory and debut offices that have been gaining national recognition, consolidating the show's mission to reveal talents and boost careers.

"The cast of this edition translates exactly what CASACOR Rio has built over 35 years: a platform capable of bringing together professionals from different generations, styles, and trajectories, promoting encounters between those who helped write our history and those who are designing the next chapters of Brazilian architecture. This diversity is one of the show's greatest riches and one of the reasons it has remained relevant for more than three decades", says Patricia Mayer, managing partner of CASACOR Rio.

"Celebrating our 35 years at the Aliança da Bahia Building is looking to history without losing sight of the future. The cast of this edition represents this movement: renowned professionals, young talents, and new offices occupying a modernist building that symbolizes the revitalization of downtown Rio. It is an encounter between memory, innovation, and creativity, values that have always been part of CASACOR's essence", adds Patricia Quentel, managing partner of CASACOR Rio.
