The official launch of the 6th edition of
CASACOR Ribeirão Preto took place last Tuesday (26), when professionals, shopkeepers and businesspeople from the sector were introduced to the new headquarters. Confirmed for
August 20 to October 20, 2024 , this year's show will be hosted in a property designed by renowned architect
João Barreto and engineer
Francisco Segnini , which dates back to 1975. Carefully chosen, the house is an "
architectural icon ", as
Maurício Siqueira , director of
CASACOR in the city, points out. "[The property] has even been the object of study and has served as inspiration for several professionals over the years. The imposing concrete block suspended on six pillars is a reference to the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of USP, in São Paulo, designed by Vilanova Artigas. With
large internal and external areas , integrated and fluid spaces, excellent visibility due to the elevation of the land and easy access, this is the
perfect setting to receive the transformations provided by
CASACOR Ribeirão Preto . Expectations are high!", he summarizes.
With
a total area of 2,500 m² and a built area of 1,200 m², the property will house 36 spaces designed by leading professionals in the market. Construction will begin on May 20. “We found a truly unique property to host the show this year, both for its characteristics and its history. We are talking about
one of the first modernist houses in the city . Here we have raw material with enormous potential,” adds Siqueira. The 6th edition of
CASACOR Ribeirão Preto will take place at
Avenida Costábile Romano, 931, in the upscale Ribeirânia neighborhood . According to the director, the show will have
more than 30 spaces designed by great professionals, following the theme of the year: "
As a gift, the now ".
