Historically,
architecture and design have evolved in times of crisis . In fact,
modern architecture was born out of a global health crisis in the early 20th century with the tuberculosis epidemic. It was during this time that architects, such as the Finnish
Alvar Aalto , began to design medical facilities with plenty of
natural light and fresh air, the only known treatment for the disease. Light and air became a kind of medicine, giving shape to a new architecture, with
clean aesthetics, high ceilings, large windows and open spaces with plenty of ventilation . This epidemic has changed the appearance of our world and continues to inspire architecture. contemporary. With the emergence of the new coronavirus, the 2020 and 2021 editions of
CASACOR Peru were postponed. It was the first time in 25 years that an event did not take place. However, every crisis brings an opportunity to do something new.
New ideas, new paths emerge . In this way,
CASACOR Peru reinforces its commitment and continuity and announces its return, scheduled for
May 24 to June 29, 2022. A special edition, the exhibition will propose a series of reflections, resulting from the pandemic, and how it rethought the the way we live, work and recreate.

There will be
60 architects, decorators, landscapers and designers who will present
46 connection environments , a dialogue of creativity and innovation between architecture, design, decoration and well-being. The exhibition will bring a timely approach to a priority theme in recent years:
sustainability and respect for nature in all its essence , pillars of the 2022 edition. It will be possible to see
open windows and doors , proposing a new path with greater awareness. Perhaps it is a It is too early to predict how the world will change after this pandemic, but as in previous situations, architecture and design will play a
fundamental role in its evolution .

Where will the exhibition be?
This year’s theme, “
Infinito Particular ,” refers to homes with anatomical features that match this style.
CASACOR curators, supported by trend research, invite exhibition attendees to reflect on the need to design environments that prioritize physical, mental and
spiritual well-being ; harmony, balance and comfort. The
home of the hyperdigital era , closed in on itself and hyperconnected, is more sustainable, diverse, supportive and loving. A refuge focused on well-being, where each person can imprint their story, colors, art, furniture, family memories, textures , plants, perfumes, music and participation in it.
