In 2024, CASACOR Pernambuco changes course and moves into a new building in Recife: the Palazzo Itália Building , an eclectic, neoclassical-inspired property located between Alfredo Lisboa and Vigário Tenório streets, a prime location in the tourist region. “When we saw the building, which has more than one facade, we saw that it would be excellent to house the exhibition. We were happy to be able to shed light and make another building that makes up our rich historical houses in the Recife neighborhood shine ,” says Carla Cavalcanti , director of CASACOR Pernambuco.

Architect Juliano Dubeux , responsible for the building's retrofit project, says that the interventions were necessary to create mezzanines in the interior, which has very high ceilings, and to increase the building's circulation and usability area. The show will also have an active ground floor and three more floors, in addition to an annex building, totaling approximately 2,500 m². Therefore, this year, CASACOR Pernambuco will be larger than previous editions , with a total of 34 environments .

The cast brings together young talents and renowned names in Brazilian architecture and design, chosen by the multidisciplinary approach of the exhibition's curators, who always seek to reveal diverse styles and experiences. Among this year's highlights is the space dedicated to architect Janete Costa, designed by her son, also an architect, Mário Santos . Another honoree is the painter from Pernambuco, Montez Magno, who passed away in 2023 and will have his works exhibited in a space designed by Marton Estúdio .
