While the
CASACOR brand turns 35 in 2022, the Pernambuco franchise celebrates the date in a dream format:
CASACOR Pernambuco will take place at the
Chanteclair Building , in Recife Antigo, one of the most imposing buildings in the city. The
20th century building, listed by IPHAN, located on the banks of the Capibaribe River, has been closed since the 1990s. With its facade renovated, the building
will now be used again when its doors open to visitors at CASACOR 2022. “There is nothing more incredible than being present in a
property of such importance , in the heart of Recife, which is Chanteclair”, describes
Gabriela Coutinho , one of the directors of CASACOR Pernambuco, emotionally.
Since 2016,
Isabela Coutinho and
Carla Cavalcanti have been in charge of managing the exhibition in Pernambuco. “We will create a CASACOR with all the respect and admiration we have for the building; it will be a
rescue of the Recife neighborhood , of Chanteclair, united with CASACOR, for our city”, says Isabela Coutinho. Work to adapt the building is expected to begin in July and
CASACOR Pernambuco is expected to take place from October 15 to November 27, 2022. The exhibition will be set up on the ground floor of Chanteclair and should occupy some external areas, such as the section of Vigário Tenório Street, which is on the side of the building. This year the theme of the exhibition will be
Particular Infinity , which has everything to do with the Chanteclair –
a finite building, but with a unique and splendid dimension . In 2021,
CASACOR Pernambuco took place in the external pavilion of Shopping Center Recife and the previous year, due to the pandemic, the show took place differently and was named
Janelas CASACOR, Pernambuco edition . In a hybrid format – physical and digital –, that year edition the exhibition mapped
14 points in the city that received showcases with environments that could be visited by bicycle, via the cycle path; or by boat, along the Capibaribe River.
“This year, through CASACOR Pernambuco and Chanteclair, we will share everything about architecture, landscaping, decoration, historic buildings and revitalization. I believe that this is perhaps
the most important moment of our administration . CASACOR Pernambuco with Chanteclair is an intriguing, beautiful combination of rescue and reopening of historic spaces for Recife”, adds Isabela. The 2022 edition of CASACOR Pernambuco will also offer
hybrid forms of visitation : in person and online, where those who prefer can access the exhibition on a digital platform, through the
3D tour . In addition, some operational environments may be used
without necessarily needing a ticket. , just as it was in 2021. To hold the exhibition at Chanteclair, the exhibition management teamed up with the City Hall, which integrated the reopening of Chanteclair into the actions of
Recentro – a maintenance, care, and revitalization plan for the city center. “The The City Hall is here to support and embrace the holding of yet another edition of CASACOR Pernambuco, understanding that this is a fundamental policy of Recentro:
activating vacant properties and attracting people to revisit and relive our Historic Center ,” explained Ana Paula Vilaça. , secretary of the Chief of Staff of the City of Recife. In addition to the city, partners include IPHAN and Realisis Empreendimentos, owner of the building. “We are thrilled with the idea of setting up a CASACOR at Chanteclair.
It is the realization of an old dream ,” says Isabela. “And rescuing the grandeur of Chanteclair is also a way of giving back to the population, at the end of the exhibition, a Chanteclair in better condition.” conditions so that
it can finally be used again with the importance it has for the city of Recife ”, concluded Isabela.
