CASACOR Paraná holds free Live Painting inspired by Matisse

This weekend (July 9th and 10th) there will be a live painting event in the front square of the 28th CASACOR Paraná building in Curitiba, an area with free access and open to the public in the city. During the event, the artist from Curitiba, Celestino Dimas , together with two assistants and a producer, will paint live part of the mural that covers the floor, walls and facade of the building where the Exhibition is held, in an area of approximately 1500 m². Right at the entrance, the colorful huge mural is an invitation to explore the space configured as an urban courtesy, accessible regardless of whether you have purchased a ticket for the Exhibition, and a hint of the surprises contained in CASACOR Paraná , for those who can attend the event. According to the artist, the strong colors and organic lines form unusual compositions, giving a sense of movement. “These are floral paintings that reference the French painter Henry Matisse. We have fine art graffiti here,” he says.

According to Dimas, whose career combines knowledge of graphic design and visual arts with street art and graffiti, the abstract painting aims to transport visitors inside and beyond themselves. “The work will be interpreted based on the imagination and repertoire of experiences of those who are in front of it. In this way, the viewer participates in the creative act and complements its meanings,” he explains. This immense mural, which has the technical support of Coral paints, began to be created in the 2021 edition of CASACOR. “We remixed and redefined last year's concept, in addition to expanding the scale and dimensions of the work. The entire structure was changed and the color palette updated”, according to Coral's latest releases, says Dimas.
