Current governor Romeu Zema, as one of his campaign proposals, chose to reside in another property and give a more democratic destination to the space, which has an area of 42 thousand square meters. The palace is now under the custody of Codemge – the Development of Minas Gerais. The agency aims to implement actions that add more efficiency in the administration of space and better use of the property.
CASACOR will be the first cultural event to occupy the space and is committed to preserving and working on the restoration of the property in accordance with the rules of the State Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage (Iepha). The opening of the exhibition is scheduled for September 3rd.
