To celebrate 30 years of operation in
Minas Gerais, CASACOR will occupy a building that has historical significance for the city, as well as a close connection to architecture. The chosen location for the 30th edition of CASACOR Minas is the
building constructed to house the Instituto Metodista Izabela Hendrix. Located at Rua da Bahia, 2,020, in the Lourdes neighborhood, the construction, inaugurated in 1941, is currently the headquarters of PUC Lourdes. The building stands out for its grandeur and also for its
historical relevance. The building is listed by the competent authorities and is part of the Liberdade Circuit.

As is tradition, CASACOR Minas kicks off the year’s event agenda with the
Open House, welcoming architects, interior designers, landscapers, journalists, content producers, industry representatives, suppliers, and partners for the official presentation of the venue that will host the show. "It is a moment we dedicate to presenting to our partners, the market, and opinion leaders the concept and possibilities of each edition," highlights director
Juliana Grillo. The event was attended by various representatives of PUC Minas, including the Magnificent Rector Professor Doctor Padre Luís Henrique Eloy e Silva, who emphasized in his speech the
importance of architecture for civilization and for social good, as well as recognizing the relevance of the event to enhance the
visibility of the institution.

To demonstrate the potential of the new address, creative professionals specializing in finishing projects
Anna Lara and Amanda Mendonça, from
Studio Tertúlia, were invited to create a
setup in the entrance hall of the building. It was transformed into a project to welcome guests. The space featured a
careful selection of pieces signed by renowned designers and artists, sourced from stores with an extensive history of participation in the show. Among the selected works are pieces signed by names like Alva Design and Chicô Gouvêa, including furniture provided by the stores Tom Sobre Tom, Líder, and São Romão, all specializing in authorial design. The lighting is signed by A. de Arte and the rugs were supplied by Marie Camille. The artworks, signed by artists Lucas Dupin and Camille Kachani, belong to the collection of Murilo Castro Gallery. The landscaping was designed by Kat Rosa. "
Our idea was to welcome the guests, opening a dialogue with the architecture of the building, in addition to a brief immersion into the theme of this edition, celebrating the presence of art and nature," highlights Anna Lara.
The
30th edition of CASACOR Minas will take place during August and September and is expected to gather around
40 projects signed by various professionals in the field. "In addition to its historical importance, the building chosen for this commemorative edition stands out for its
generous projects, with high ceilings, a large outdoor area, as well as a central courtyard that will be the stage for a series of events and meetings throughout the show. We can announce that it will be a very special edition, allowing the public to experience
various possibilities of occupation and enjoyment of that space," emphasizes director
Eduardo Faleiro.
