The 2024 edition of
CASACOR Mato Grosso promises to be a celebration of local history and culture, aligned with the theme “
From present, to now ”, which highlights the
legacy of our ancestors and the
construction of a sustainable future . In this context, a
famtour was held last weekend bringing together architects, interior designers and landscapers for an
immersion in the state's rich culture .
The
famtour itinerary included visits to emblematic places in the city, such as the
Jacobina Farm , in Cáceres, which dates back almost 300 years and is a landmark of the regional economy. Participants also explored
Vila Bela da Santíssima Trindade , the first capital of Mato Grosso, where they had the opportunity to visit the ruins of the Igreja Matriz and experience traditional dances, such as Dança do Congo and Dança do Chorado, as well as enjoying the natural beauty of the Valentine's waterfall. Another significant experience took place in the
Umutina Indigenous Land , in Barra do Bugres, where guests were welcomed by dances that revere sacred figures and nature, guided by chief Luciel Boroponepá and several indigenous leaders. This interaction provided professionals with a
new perspective on the state's cultural diversity.
The famtour was attended by special guests who brought their own experiences and expertise.
Jay Boggo , stylist and designer, expressed his deep emotion at discovering the cultural richness of Mato Grosso, stating that these experiences will now inspire his future works. In turn,
Nina Coimbra , artist and art educator, highlighted the importance of indigenous crafts and the representation of the history of black people in her creative practice.
The directors of CASACOR Mato Grosso,
Luiz Hugo Queiroz and
Giovanna Trojan , emphasized that the
famtour was fundamental for inspiring professionals in creating the exhibition's environments, including the
Collaborative Mural, which will address various aspects of the state's culture and history . They mentioned that the initiative has become so relevant that there are already requests for the event to be held annually before the opening of the exhibition.
CASACOR Mato Grosso is scheduled to take place from October 29th to December 8th at Arena Pantanal, promising not only an exhibition of design and architecture, but also a true immersion in the state's rich traditions and cultural legacy.
With a focus on sustainability and appreciation of local culture , the exhibition becomes an important space for reflection on what we are building for the future, based on the legacy of our ancestors.
