CASACOR, Coral and Fazendinhando take action to train women painters
The pillars of social responsibility and sustainability have long been highlighted at CASACOR São Paulo , which always seeks to encourage a "greener and more sustainable approach" at all its events. A new action carried out by the show on Friday, August 20, trained women painters in Jardim Colombo , in the west zone of São Paulo, in partnership with Coral (the official paint for the shows) and Fazendinhando – a movement for physical, cultural and social transformation in the neighborhood, which relies on residents to carry out artistic movements that integrate the entire community.

"In addition to the techniques, the students will learn more about this segment of the job market and will have the opportunity to have as their first clients the professionals from the CASACOR São Paulo team, who will hire them to apply the new knowledge acquired in the course organized by Tintas Coral", says Coral .

Leading the project's training is professional painter Débora Streisser , who teaches inside the CASACOR São Paulo construction site from 10 am to 4 pm. The goal of the action is to provide learning, but mainly job opportunities to boost the regional economy in the region where the participating women live.

The results of the students' work will be displayed in the CASACOR São Paulo 2021 environments (which will take place from September 21 to November 15 at Parque Mirante , on Rua Padre Antônio Tomás, 72, attached to Allianz Parque). "After the course, students receive a kit from Coral so they can apply special effects techniques and painting finishes in their homes and begin their lives as professional painters," says the managing director of CASACOR São Paulo, Livia Pedreira.

Care for the environment

The training also focused on ensuring that the least amount of resources possible were used to avoid unnecessary expenses. Between 2018 and 2019, more than 1 ton of dry paint sludge and 110 liters of liquid waste were disposed of correctly using reverse logistics. For Darlan Firmato, social responsibility and sustainability manager with the Coral-CASACOR partnership, "another important action in partnership with Coral is the creation of the Brush Washing System, a solution created for the CASACOR São Paulo construction site to further reduce the impact of paint disposal," he explained.
