Even before its opening, the 33rd edition of
CASACOR Brasília is already beginning to leave its legacy. The event started the revitalization of the
Casa do Candango building, located in Asa Sul – the space that will host this year's exhibition. Abandoned for over a decade, the building presented
infrastructure in a state of deterioration. Now, it will be
completely restored to become a modern, dignified, and safe
project for the institution that supports children in vulnerable situations.
The improvements include the
restoration of the facade, windows and floors, along with the recovery of water tanks, slabs, roofs, and the networks of water, sewage, and rainwater.
All electrical infrastructure will be redone. The gardens will get new lawns and a parking area will be built on the premises.

By occupying and restoring the building, CASACOR Brasília reinforces its commitment to this year's exhibition theme, '
Sowing Dreams'. Designed in 1977, the building functioned until 1996 serving children aged 0 to 6 in social vulnerability, from Monday to Saturday. "CASACOR Brasília reaffirms with the edition at Casa do Candango its commitment to the
valorization of culture, memory, and sustainable development," said
Sheila Podestá, one of the partners leading the exhibition.

"The choice of Casa do Candango, a historical building,
directly connects to the theme of 2025," highlighted
Eliane Martins. "The place, which carries the memory of the workers who built Brasília, will have a
new use for the after the exhibition," added
Moema Leão.

For the president of Casa do Candango, Margarida Kalil, this will be the realization of a long-held desire. "
A dream come true. We couldn't be happier to welcome a space for project development and workshops for the community back into this building."
Exhibition
This year, CASACOR Brasília will have
47 projects inspired by the concept 'Sowing Dreams'. The theme of this edition is based on three axes:
collective dreams, ecosystems in cooperation, and confluence of knowledge. The first axis is an invitation to reflect on the
ability to dream collectively and create a sustainable future, guiding human actions in harmony and collaboration with nature. The second pillar highlights the
integration between the urban and the natural, promoting cities as
living ecosystems that challenge the separation between the constructed
and nature. The proposal is to create cities that function like forests. The third axis emphasizes the collaboration among various disciplines and cultures. Transdisciplinarity is presented as essential to develop innovative and sustainable solutions that connect areas such as architecture, engineering, biology, and social sciences.
