Casa Cor Bahia 2019
01/33 -

Casa Vert by Baú+ - Ana Paula Guimarães and Thiago Manarelli. Celebrating its fifteenth participation in the show, the Manarelli Guimarães office presents Casa Vert in a soft way, in earthy tones and almost white light tones, highlighted by the aquamarine details. The composition of the space and its scale required modular furniture that could be transported to a new location, according to the wishes of its owner. The single covering on the floor ensures the perception of unity in the various spaces. The furniture features handcrafted and original pieces, using recycled materials that blend with the best contemporary design. Natural lighting, glass slits and linen curtains give the space a dramatic and captivating air.

Living Cosmopolitan – Lorena Damásio and Daiana Fernandes. The space designed by architects Lorena Damásio and Daiana Fernandes was designed for people who enjoy entertaining friends. The project was conceived to provide good moments of coexistence with practicality, comfort and modernity. Burnt cement gives the space a contemporary touch, and the use of translucent marble and boldly designed furniture — such as the Supernova armchair, by award-winning Pedro Franco — create the atmosphere of the world's great capitals.

Blue Scheme Intimate Room – Daniela Alencar. Architect and interior designer, Daniela uses a luxurious blue tone scheme to demonstrate her taste for a classic style mixed with contemporary works of art and exclusive furniture. The Intimate Room, measuring 29 m², has an atmosphere of serenity and harmony with the use of plaster, porcelain tiles, hardwood floors and a mirrored bookshelf. The space — as is the trend of the contemporary plan — seeks to bring together multiple activities: a comfortable sofa for watching movies and a games table that turns into a food dish, in a place where joy and family are always present.

Gloss Suite - Mila Caramelo and Mila Saraiva. The suite is inspired by a romantic and connected “it girl”. The space integrates designer furniture, green walls, sustainability and automation. The delicate color palette of beiges and pinks, with a glamorous touch of gold with black and terracotta. The generous closet, mega-equipped vanity and mini living room to receive friends, make the Gloss Suite an object of desire for women.

Intimate Living – Gabriela Viveiros. This space conveys the feeling of well-being of family gatherings. Architect Gabriela Viveiros installed a large sofa to bring people together, transmitting a feeling of comfort reinforced by the wood panels and dracaenas — which bring greenery to this intimate living space. All the materials used in the space were designed to provide comfort without leaving aside sophistication. Listening to music, enjoying the beautiful garden, watching a movie or just talking: the ultimate goal is to be together.

Winter Garden - Cristina Calumby. Architecture is the greatest ally in building a home that offers comfort and coziness, in contrast to the busy world. In her triumphant return to CASACOR Bahia, Cristina Calumby has brought elegance, lightness and beauty to her space — which are her innate characteristics. The choice of recycled materials, wood and marble makes the space welcoming and sustainable. The works of great Brazilian artists, such as Siron Franco and Mário Cravo Jr., provide the feeling of well-being that only affection can convey. The modular sofa in gray, the centerpiece of the space, coexists harmoniously with the beautiful mustard-colored armchairs, the natural leather chaise and the terracotta-toned iron sideboard.

Recanto Lounge – Tatiana Campos Melo. Tatiana Campos Melo’s space opens onto the greenery in large glass panels, in an exquisite and highly original composition, with a highlight on the impressive lion by Christian Cravo. The apparent fragility of the glass used as a reliquary sand floor provokes a feeling of strange enchantment due to the unusual nature of the material. In addition, the presence of works of art makes visitors reflect on what that space conveys in the face of so much light and nature.

Cravo e Canela Bungalow – Jéssica Araújo. The contrast between the rough, industrial materials and the greenery that invades the environment provides a unique experience for those who pass through the Cravo e Canela Bungalow, by architect Jéssica Araújo. The bedroom and bathroom maintain a strong connection with nature throughout the entire space. Artist Romilda Patez created the colorful figurative work with soil from the Pernambuco backlands. José Paulo's leather installation reveals the architect's predilection for regional artists.

Collector's Loft – TRPC Arquitetos. A loft full of art and affection, based on the premise that everyone collects memories and experiences. With simple architectural gestures, everything was designed to combine privacy and integration of spaces. The careful curation presents crafts from different parts of the world and works of art by national and international artists, creating a harmonious and elegant composition. The original Frei Egídio chair, designed by Lina Bo Bardi, and the marble table designed by the architects create a bold composition between the original design and the renowned pieces.

Landscaping of the outdoor area – Tânia Facchinetti and Joilson Barbosa. Architect Tânia Facchinetti and landscaper Joilson Barbosa captured the lush vegetation found on the site. The beautiful project preserved most of the vegetative elements, placing plants only where they were essential. Nature and its interrelationships are the duo’s greatest inspirations, which translate the beauty of its nuances and associations into the landscape. The space has areca and vetia palms, pleomeles, pandanus, dionelas, clusias, bromeliads, orchids, alpinias, heliconias and emerald grass for ground cover, making it a special place for nature lovers. In the Ogum flowerbed, a sculpture by Bel Borba, the sansevieria, sword and swordtail plants complement the artistic icon and translate the delicacy of the local nature.

Living Room of Dracenas - Caroline Gaspar and Cauã Witzke. Great Brazilian design permeates the sophisticated space of this young architect duo who are making their debut at CASACOR. The living room is comfortable and large enough to welcome friends and family. The palette of beiges and tones inspired by natural pigments — present in the wood, marble, straw and coverings — serves as a frame for the excellent furniture. Dominated by the beautiful dracenas, the living room houses works of art from Bahia of great aesthetic value.

Bar Tonico - Caio Bandeira and Tiago Martins. Inspired by the Atlantic Forest and its traditional communities, the environment is embraced by a wooden structure that mimics the natural foliage, reminiscent of the roofs of Brazilian villages. The aesthetic appreciation of the elements of nature, their contrasts and colors are the points that guided the design of the project. The wood and natural stone associated with green and earthy tones remind us of an exotic nature. The roof — made from certified wood scraps supported by a metal structure — embraces the theme of sustainability.

Lina’s first completed work, the Glass House, located in Morumbi, São Paulo, became a paradigm for Brazilian architecture and now inspires the space of the Bahian exhibition, marked by the meeting of the artistic, the contemporary and connectivity. The event's masterplan was designed by David Bastos , who also guided the creative line of this edition of the show.

Committed to values such as accessibility, inclusion and sustainability, combined with the demands of contemporary life, the exhibition will make maximum use of resources, have low carbon emissions, among other actions that aim to minimize environmental impact.
