Casa Guarajuba marks a conceptual change from the beach houses of architect David Bastos with straight lines, exposed concrete structure, mashrabiya frames and aged black granite flooring.

New ideas emerged in the project, which had as its basic principle to be a practical and functional house , above all cozy, and this was only possible thanks to the frames that integrate the garden, pool and gourmet areas, transforming the entire ground floor into a large living area.

Highlights include the muxarabi -type wooden frames, an architectural element that regulates sunlight inside buildings, acting as a “filter” that allows air to circulate freely.
