CALENDAR: Check out all the events that will take place at CASA COR Minas

CASA COR Minas Gerais 2016 opened its doors to the public today, showcasing the best of architecture and design in 46 spaces that also carry strong characteristics of Minas Gerais culture. In addition to celebrating, of course, CASA COR 's 30th anniversary.

In addition, the show has a rich program of events, such as round tables, gastronomic experiences, musical and theatrical performances, activities for children, wine tasting and many other activities. Check out the full program below:

Unusual Kitchen Courses

The gastronomic intervention project led by Gabriel Trillo, Gabi Braga and Sérgio Figueiredo will feature a weekly program developed for gastronomy lovers and, on Sundays, for children.

August 31 , Wednesday, at 7pm - Guilherme Melo from Hermengarda | Dish: Duck rice with maria gondó and jabuticaba sauce.

September 2 , Friday, at 7pm - Arlen Fortes from Tchê Parrila | Dish: Paella Capeira. A modified version of the famous Spanish dish, which uses ingredients specific to southern cuisine. Its ingredients include Araucaria seeds (pine nuts), chicken thighs and drumsticks , country salami, jerked meat, parboiled rice, saffron among others.

October 4th , Tuesday, at 7pm - Leandro Pimenta from Café com Letras - The importance of backyards in Minas Gerais cuisine and the use of products in avant-garde cuisine | Reinterpretation of canja + Low-temperature cupim with pequi rice.

Registration for the classes is now open and you can guarantee your place by purchasing your ticket in advance on the website blueticket.com.br or at the show box office. There are 25 places per dinner/class and the investment is R$160 for classes that take place from Tuesday to Friday, with entry to CASA COR Minas already included in the registration fee. The cost of classes for children is R$125 and the accompanying adult will receive a 50% discount on the ticket to CASA COR Minas . The duration of the activities is approximately two hours.

HOUSE COLOR & CONVERSATION

For the second year, CASA COR Minas Gerais is bringing CASA COR & Conversa , an initiative based on four pillars: inspiration, content, entertainment and networking. This parallel program takes place within the show and aims to foster these pillars through round tables. , gastronomic experiences, musical and theatrical performances, activities for children, wine tasting and many other activities. August 30 , Tuesday, at 8pm | Idélli BH presents: Junior Giovanini and Quarteto Musik. Evening of classical music with pianist Junior Giovanini and Quarteto Musik, formed by musicians from the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra. The repertoire includes compositions by Schubert, Vivaldi, Mozart, among others.

August 31 , Wednesday, at 8pm | Tom sobre Tom presents: Junior Giovanini and Casa Comigo Band. Pianist Junior Giovanini, alongside Casa Comigo Band, formed by renowned and experienced musicians from the Minas Gerais scene, presents an exquisite repertoire, moving from classics international jazz, MPB and Bossa Nova.

September 1st , Thursday, at 7:30 pm | [lecture] Ronald Sasson – The relationship between art and design. Ronald Scliar Sasson talks a little about his work as a designer, showing how his training in visual arts contributed to the success of his creations.

September 2 , Friday, at 5 pm | [lecture] Mergulho 747: Western dance and its scenic spaces with Regina Amaral and Carlos Arão, founders of Mergulho 747 – Dance Study Group. The lecture addresses the relationship between Western dance and the various scenic construction spaces, from the Renaissance to the present day. It aims to outline a panorama that will encompass dance in private and public spaces, from institutionalized theaters to the most informal urban spaces, highlighting the social, aesthetic and cultural aspects that contextualize them.

September 2nd , Friday, at 8pm | Idélli BH presents: Guest dancers perform 'Kevin'.

September 3 , Saturday, at 4pm and 7pm | Criativa Persianas presents: Guest dancers interpret 'Kevin'. Dancers from renowned companies in BH come together for a collective creative process inspired by the film/book “We Need to Talk About Kevin”. The group is formed by Branca Peixoto (Independent Dancer), Andressa Corso (Corpo Group), Lucas Saraiva (Corpo Group), Lucas Resende (First Act Dance Group), Pablo Ramon (First Act Dance Group) and Rafael Bittar (Corpo Group). ).

September 3 , Saturday, at 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm | GED – Corpo Cidadão Experimental Dance Group. The Group presents the choreography “Tempo”, created by former Grupo Corpo member Sandra Santos, with a soundtrack by Pato Fu.

September 4 , Sunday, at 5pm | [lecture] Brazilian design with Carico Dumont, Claudia Dodd, Olavo Machado Netto and Pedro Lázaro. Four great names in architecture and design talk about Brazilian design and the revitalization of original 20th century furniture .

September 8 , Thursday, at 8:30 pm | [lecture] Meeting with Pedro Pederneiras. Event offered by Criativa Persianas. Pedro Pederneiras, one of the founders of Grupo Corpo, tells the story of the company's 41-year history and the artistic projects that have made it stand out on the scene national and international.

September 10 , Saturday, at 7pm | Idélli BH presents: Frederico Heliodoro Trio. In this project, the bassist presents, in addition to his own compositions, reinterpretations of famous songs, such as Cais by Milton Nascimento and Rock`n Roll by Led Zeppelin. The following are members of the trio Marcus Abjaud (keyboards) and Felipe Continentino (drums).

September 11 , Sunday, at 5pm | Criativa Persianas presents: Ausier Vinicius and the group Pedacinhos do Céu. One of the greatest references of chorinho in the country, the cavaquinho player Ausier Vinicius, alongside the group Pedacinhos do Céu, presents a repertoire with classics of the genre such as Waldir Azevedo, Pixinguinha, among others.

September 11 , Sunday, at 2 pm [workshop] | Children's Theater Workshop: Creatio – Theater that improvises stories with Rodolfo Costa, psychologist, coach and director of the Spontaneous Theater and Playback Company Creatio. Workshop aimed at children aged 7 to 11 years. Creativity, imagination, body and verbal expression are elements present in this new style of theater that rescues the educational and therapeutic value of the act of sharing and telling stories orally. Because it is a theater of real stories, the workshop takes place in a loving atmosphere which combines self-knowledge, fun and respect, preparing children to act out and watch episodes from each other's lives.

September 15 , Thursday, at 7:30 pm | [lecture] 100 years of Industrialized Architecture: what is still missing? With Bruno Campos, Marcelo Fontes and Silvio Todeschi. An overview of prefabricated houses and industrialized architecture, since the beginning of the 20th century to date and the variety of extraordinary solutions. Conception, design and construction of the prototype of the Laminus House, developed by BCMF Arquitetos for CASA COR 2016 Minas . BCMF's experience with projects that include prefabricated elements or industrialized systems.

September 18 , Sunday, at 5pm | Criativa Persianas presents: Rufo Herrera and the Ouro Preto Orchestra. In this concert, Argentine bandoneonist and composer Rufo Herrera joins the Ouro Preto Orchestra for a concert inspired by the cultural effervescence of Latin America.

September 20 , Tuesday, at 7:30 pm | [round table] A new look at the city with Daniel Simão, Gustavo Greco and Teodomiro Diniz. In a round table, these three important names will talk about the reactivation of buildings in the city center and how design and art can contribute to creating a new look for the city. Gustavo is the name behind the award-winning Greco Design; Tedoromiro treats the history of our city with great respect, and through his construction company, develops retrofit projects in abandoned buildings in the center of BH; Daniel recently launched a project to occupy the Almeida Building, also in the center, with art, companies linked to the creative industry and other initiatives.

September 21 , Tuesday, at 7:30 pm | [chat] Affection as a creative and business tool with Mary Figueiredo Arantes, Lúcio Ventania, Bruna Miranda and Ana Helena Miranda. Chat held by Habitat magazine about the Lowsumerism trend, that sees consumerism as an outdated behavior. Collaborative, sustainable and collective initiatives that aim to preserve the environment, care for others and balanced consumption are some of the fruits generated by this new trend. Accessories designer Mary Figueiredo Arantes, bamboo master Lúcio Ventania and journalist and creator of the Slow Living project, Bruna Miranda will share their experiences and impressions on the subject. The moderator will be Ana Helena Miranda, editor-in-chief of Habitat magazine.

September 21 , Wednesday, at 4:30 pm | September 29, Thursday, at 8 pm | Canal Curta presents: Por um triz. The documentary follows the creative process of Grupo Corpo in the construction of the show Triz, launched in 2013. Behind-the-scenes looks, the dancers' daily lives and the team's challenges are intensely shown throughout the last months of rehearsals before the premiere. Directed by Eduardo Zunza and conceived by dancers Carolina Amares and Jacqueline Gimenez, with production and realization by Camisa Listrada, co-production by Quarteto Filmes and co-production by Grupo Corpo for Canal Curta.

September 22 , Thursday, at 8pm | Novolar Persianas presents: Junior Giovanini and Casa Comigo Lounge. Bossa Nova, Minas Gerais music and chorinhos make up the repertoire presented by pianist Junior Giovanini and the trio Casa Comigo Lounge, formed by Ligia Cabral, Luciano Soares and Nani Percussion.

September 22 , Thursday, at 8pm | Junior Giovanini and Casa Comigo Lounge. Bossa Nova, Minas Gerais Music and Chorinhos make up the intimate repertoire of Junior Giovanini and the trio Casa Comigo Lounge, formed by Ligia Cabral, Luciano Soares and Nani Percussão.

September 24 , Saturday, at 7:30 pm | Quarteto Musik. The group formed by musicians from the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra presents compositions by Franz Schubert, Antonio Vivaldi, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, among others.

September 25 , Sunday, at 4pm, 5:30pm and 7pm | Cia Sesc de Dança. Presentation of choreographic excerpts from the company's repertoire, specially adapted for the Teatro CASA COR space.

September 25 , Sunday, at 2 pm [workshop] | Drawing in motion with Débora Lopes, Director of the Savassi Art Center. Using different playful and artistic stimuli, with drawing lines and with the body in movement, children aged 6 to 8 years will experience a colorful, creative and danceable afternoon.

September 29 , Thursday, at 7pm | [lecture] YAH! The new signage marketplace with Gustavo Greco and Felipe Davis. A good signage project guides people in a space so that, without relying on anyone else's help, they know which one is right. path to follow. Design is the element that makes the message clear, effective and visually appropriate to its environment. Gustavo Greco and Felipe Davis present how YAH! works, an online platform for customizable signage projects, which makes projects signed by renowned designers.

September 30 , Friday, at 8pm | Criativa Persianas presents: Junior Giovanini and Casa Comigo Band. SEVEN is a contemporary dance show created from new concepts about the Seven Deadly Sins, resulting in the personal experiences of the members of the Mergulho EnCena group. Conception and choreographic direction by Carlos Arão and creation of the group's collective of dancers.

Exhibition 2 Great Masters: Abraham Palatnik and Arthur Luiz Piza

Held by Galeria Murilo Castro, especially for CASA COR Minas , the exhibition brings together a collection of 40 works by these two great Brazilian artists, including paintings, sculptures, engravings and objects.
