The
Fazendinhando project emerged at the end of 2017, following the concerns of
Ester Carro . A resident of Jardim Colombo, west of São Paulo, the architect felt that she could not remain inert in the face of the fundamental needs of the complex, located in Paraisópolis. A large volume of garbage accumulated on a piece of land called Fazendinha, a sloped area measuring around 1000 m². It was there where the scope of the project was born. With almost 15 thousand inhabitants, the community had no meeting or leisure space. Mobilized, residents and nearby organizations began the Parque Fazendinha project, which focuses not only on removing waste and rubble from the land, but also on transforming the space into a park – a common area to be enjoyed by the community.

The transformation of the land takes place on two fronts: cleaning the landfill and a program of activities based on art and culture. Thus, the project increases residents' awareness of the environment and collective work. So far, more than 40 City Hall trucks have collected garbage, rubble and furniture, making Fazendinha a walkable environment.
O projeto mantém a identidade de uma fazenda, com o predomínio de muito verde, apenas permeado por concreto pontual, necessidade de criar planos rígidos, são feitas pinturas mantendo os tons de verde e criando movimento e ritmo com formas geométri-cas irregulares. Despite the improvements, there is still much to be done. Due to the lack of substantial funding, the creation of Parque Fazendinha depends on donations. On the project's
official website , there are links to the Paypal and Benfeitoria platforms, which receive donations. The goal is to reach R$2,500 to purchase benches and install bleacher walls, in addition to maintaining the park. Don't forget to donate!
