About the property The property, with more than 10 thousand
m² , was designed by the renowned architect from Rio de Janeiro Acácio Gil Borsoi, in 1969, with the purpose of creating a residence for the family of the businessman Benedito Dias de Macêdo. The garden of the house is signed by Roberto Burle Marx, contemplating a set of plants and lakes designed by one of the greatest landscapers of the 20th century. The place served as a home for Benedito and his family until 1975, when it became part of the J.Macêdo group. After renovation and expansion with a new project by Borsoi, in 1978 it became the headquarters of the Group's holding company, which remained in the space until 2003. having been the headquarters of
CASACOR Ceará for the first time in 2009, when the 70th anniversary of the J.Macêdo Group was celebrated, with the participation of Founder José Dias de Macêdo (1919 – 2018). In 2019, in addition to the celebration of the eight decades of the Ceará organization, the centenary of the patriarch and founder José Macêdo will be celebrated.
