Vertical gardens have been taking center stage in the most recent editions of CASACOR . In addition to beauty and freshness, plants bring great acoustic and air quality benefits to projects. And the possibilities are not limited to outdoor spaces. Check out some inspirations! Natural vertical gardens These green walls, like other examples that we will show below, require a special structure adapted to the irrigation, drainage and fertilization of the plants. They can be indoors or outdoors, and it is worth bringing together different species for a more exuberant effect.
01/02 -
CASACOR Mato Grosso do Sul 2018. Bosque do Encontro - Eliane de Oliveira, Jorge Nantes and Giorgia Dávalo. The space of almost 200 m² gains freshness from the extensive vertical garden, which fills the walls that surround the reforestation pine deck. The bamboo roof also allowed the installation of several suspended ferns.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Eliane Square - Alex Hanazaki. The use of geometric shapes is the project's striking feature, but native plants, such as brazilwood, break the formality and make the space super inviting.

Indoor vertical gardens Before installation, it is worth analyzing the incidence of sunlight, humidity and ventilation, to choose plants that will develop healthily in the environment.
01/04 -
CASACOR Paraná 2018. Winter Garden - Leonardo Gazzalle and Karine Muller. The 14.42m² were no obstacle to including a good dose of nature, present in the garden with several species and also in the raw wood of the bench and beams.

CASACOR Rio Grande do Norte 2017. Espaço Ambiente Ideal - Marília Bezerra. The vertical garden of ferns takes advantage of the high ceiling height. Together with the wood on the ceiling, it contributes to climatic and acoustic comfort.

CASACOR Goiás 2017. Mariana Mendonça - Rose Gold Lavatory. The vertical garden invades the project, and is very welcome. It contrasts with the textures of bricks and metals. The ferns were the right choice, as it is a humid environment with little natural light.

04/04 -
CASACOR Itapema 2018. Habitat DECA - Jeferson Branco. The 32 m² public bathroom is not restricted to genders. The technological mood has a strong presence, without giving up the natural green, making a reference to urban forests.

Gardens on beams Don't have a free wall for a vertical garden? The plants can climb up the beams and blend in with the structures without any problems.
Architectural gardens When the vertical garden is the protagonist, together with the architecture and design, the effect is even more interesting. The green is designed to blend with the visual elements and highlight the shapes, creating a contrast or forming a perfect symbiosis.
01/03 -
CASACOR Paraíba 2016. Living Garden – Sandra Moura and Leila Azzouz. The walls with high ceilings were explored with visual resources such as hexagons in matte lacquer, wood and painted iron structure. The delicate vertical garden is interspersed and enhances the geometric composition.

CASACOR São Paulo 2018. Tea Lab - SP Arquitetura. Wooden strips represent tree trunks, while species such as ferns, guaimbês, columeias and tradescantias complete the green landscape. The structure of the vertical garden was assembled with aluminum bars, plates and double high-density blankets, in which the seedlings were implanted in open pockets. All irrigation and fertilization is automated.

Roof garden The urban jungle effect is even more intense when plants sprout from the ceiling. A true hanging garden. The solution is also ideal for small spaces.
01/02 -
CASACOR Paraná 2018. Men's Toilet - Camila Rocha and Monica Pajewski. In a space of just 7 m², the designers created a platform that holds the pots upside down and allows for automated irrigation of the hanging garden, activated by remote control. With the ceiling occupied, the lighting comes from the wall, which receives a tensioned screen. The clear and monochromatic base accentuates the feeling of spaciousness in these spaces.

CASACOR São Paulo 2018. Myrian Marquez - Sunset Garden. The space is only 16 m² and has only one wall, which is well used as a base for fruit trees and herbs.
