The Deca Award has established itself as a landmark in the Brazilian architecture and design scene, promoting the
valuation of talent, driving careers, and transforming creativity into recognition, said
Raul Guaragna, president of Dexco, at the ceremony announcing the award held at Casa Dexco. The growing relevance of the kitchen as a central space in contemporary projects was emphasized by
Marcele Brunel, head of the Design Office at Dexco. "The kitchen has transformed. The evolution of design combined with technology allows us to create versatile, adaptable, and multifunctional projects that engage with new ways of living and entertaining, always providing welcoming experiences," she explained. The same applies to bathrooms, which, especially in the post-pandemic era, have been designed as well-being retreats. "This is the challenge posed by the Deca Award:
to provoke new interpretations and pathways for these spaces," she concluded.

The relationship between design and experimentation was also discussed during the event, highlighting how the Deca Award embodies the
search for innovation as the driving force of creation. One example is the Cosmos sink, by Lucas Lemos, winner of the Product category at the 26th edition. This year, this proposal inspired Deca's design area to launch the Oceano sink, which has just been awarded Best in Show at Expo Revestir 2025. Registrations for the Deca Award 2025 are open until June 13. The results will be announced in August. Registrations:
