It's official: the 28th edition of
CASACOR Espírito Santo will take place from September 4th to October 27th, at Clube Ítalo-Brasileiro, on Ilha do Boi, for the second consecutive time. With around
30 spaces , the exhibition returns to the concept of condominium and reflects on what ancestors we want to be for future generations.
The organizers of the exhibition,
Rita Tristão and
Renata Tristão, brought together architecture and decoration professionals to present the theme and layout of the 2024 exhibition on March 27th at
Open House . In its 28th edition, CASACOR ES will have around 30 environments, including outdoor living spaces, gastronomy, 2 apartments (one with 90 m² and the other with 280 m²), 1 studio (30 m²) and 1 loft (100 m²).
At the invitation of the organizers, journalist, art critic and curator, and CASACOR's relationship director,
Pedro Ariel, inspired the professionals by talking about the theme. This year, Ariel will also be
the curator of the Espírito Santo exhibition . “We will have time to interact with the professionals and reflect on the environments. It will be a very enriching exchange,” he says.
The theme “
From the Present, the Now ” invites architects, decorators, designers, landscapers and, above all, visitors to reflect on what ancestors we want to be and what legacy we will leave for future generations and for the planet. “
It is urgent to renegotiate the present to invent the future . A dive into the cultural biodiversity in which we move will be able to reveal the beauty of our origin, made of resilience, joy and enchantment. We can still listen to the guardians of the planet. Those who maintain in their lifestyle the wisdom necessary to heal the earth, clean the rivers, protect the forests and reconnect us with the cosmos. Whether they are among the trees, on the asphalt of the cities or in research centers”, states the CASACOR 2024 Manifesto.
Among the spaces at the 28th CASACOR ES is the
Capoeirista Studio , a revival of the indigenous peoples and the culture of enslaved black people who brought the dance that is part of the cultural heritage of humanity to Brazil. Right at the entrance to the exhibition, walking through
the Connection Space will immerse you in the poetry of Mário Quintana and the rich Brazilian biodiversity: “They will pass… I will pass”, reminds us of the interactive walkway. Also worth mentioning are the
Pet Care , the
Twins’ Room and the return of the
Baby Room . “This is a space that CASACOR visitors have loved over the years and we are bringing it back by popular demand”, shares Renata Tristão.
