With technique, freshness, and personality, Brazilian sparkling wines are increasingly gaining space on the wine lists and at the most elegant tables in the country. Produced in regions of unique terroir, such as Serra and Campanha Gaúcha, the national labels impress with their balance between tradition and innovation, translating the vibrant expression of the Brazilian territory in every glass. In São Paulo, some restaurants are incorporating this trend by offering a special curation of Brazilian sparkling wines on their lists – whether to pair with authorial menus or to celebrate the best of local production. Below, we selected seven places that emphasize the national terroir and invite you to toast with flavor and authenticity! 1. Baleia Rooftop Located in the B32 building, famous for the metallic sculpture of a whale on Faria Lima, the restaurant stands out for its Mediterranean-inspired menu and privileged view. Among the good choices on the wine list is the Victoria Geisse Vintage (R$230), an extra brut sparkling wine produced in Pinto Bandeira, Rio Grande do Sul. The wine list, with more than 130 labels, invites you to explore different styles – among them, sparkling wines from Victoria Geisse, an icon of Serra Gaúcha (RS), such as the Rosé Demi-Sec (R$207), the Extra Brut 12 Months (R$207), and the Gran Reserva 36 Months (R$385). Among the national labels, it's worth trying the Apagão (R$240), a sparkling wine from Rio Grande do Sul made from a blend of grapes, which surprises with its freshness and marked flavor.
