Starting the day with a good brunch outside is almost a ritual for the residents of São Paulo. Freshly baked bread, creamy eggs, homemade cakes, fresh juices... everyone has their favorite combination for the first meal; one must agree that it is essential to start the day well. With many cozy cafés dedicated to brunch, São Paulo offers options for all tastes. We selected seven addresses that combine flavor, projects, and good pictures for a complete breakfast. Belô Café


The restaurant brings the Minas roots of chef Andreza Luisa with a touch of modernity and delicacy. The place is open every day, and it is possible to find suggestions for all occasions. For those who cannot do without a nice coffee in the morning, it is worth trying Uai Só! (R$68), a combo with a basket of cheese breads with beef stew, shavings of cream cheese, cheese cream, cornmeal cakes with cheese, guava paste, and dulce de leche with cumaru, and Americane-se (R$68), which includes cornmeal pancakes, cheese bread waffle, Canastra cheese cream, house jelly, syrup, and daily fruits.

Nouzin Café


The house specializes in brunch and offers a variety of traditional breakfast dishes from Monday to Sunday all day long. For brunch, there are four combo options on the menu, including Combo 3 (R$62), with toasted bread, coffee, juice, scrambled eggs or an omelet, and dessert. And if you're accompanied, it's worth ordering the Brunch for Two (R$204), with a basket of bread, two coffees, two natural juices, two portions of scrambled eggs with bacon, cold cuts, and cheeses, butter, cream cheese, jelly, and one dessert to share.

Feliciana Pães


A mix of bakery and confectionery, Feliciana Pães e Outras Histórias is located in the Pinheiros Market. Specializing in naturally fermented breads, it has a cozy projects, with plants and farm objects. On Saturdays, the house offers a Brunch (R$60), composed of Eggs Benedict - toasted bread, pork ancho, soft yolk egg, bacon, and hollandaise sauce, yogurt with granola and daily fruit, Pancake with Butter and Honey, Cheese Bread, a hot drink, and a glass of orange juice. For an additional R$20, it is also possible to add a glass of sparkling wine.

Forneria & Cia


The bakery bets on natural fermentation and working with selected flours. The cozy projects, with little tables on the sidewalk, attracts neighborhood residents looking for good meetings. For brunch, there's nothing better than going for the classic Coated Coffee (R$14) or Espresso (R$8.80), to accompany a hot sandwich (R$26) with a parmesan crust or toasted bread (R$9). To finish, nothing is better than a sweet, and the house's highlight is the Cinnamon roll (R$17) with the option of pistachio praline (R$22).

The brand of artisanal chocolates also offers an exclusive brunch menu in its own café. Among the new dishes, it's worth trying the Mediterranean Toast (R$38), served on rustic bread with eggplant caponata, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, cocoa syrup, and chopped walnuts. To accompany, a good choice is the Vanilla Ice Coffee (R$17), prepared with iced espresso, emulsified foam of the coffee itself, and a touch of vanilla.

Expedito Bar


Reference in Campo Belo since 2006, Expedito Bar stands out for its good mixology and grilled cuisine. On Saturdays, the bar also has a special brunch menu. Among the good choices on the new menu are the toasts on levain bread, such as the Avocado Toast (R$36), with seasoned avocado, egg, and olive oil, and the Parma Toast (R$39), with gorgonzola cream, parma, fig, and apricot jam. Other highlights include the Cheese Bread (R$10), made with a combination of Canastra, parmesan, minas, and cured cheeses; Scrambled Egg (R$19), served with bread, and Orange Cake (R$14) with natural orange sauce. To accompany the dishes, the menu includes special coffees, including Espresso (R$8) and Macchiato (R$10).

Momonoki


Located in Vila Madalena, the contemporary Japanese café combines technique, aesthetics, and creativity in dishes and desserts that celebrate the dialogue between Japan and Brazil. The café has expanded the menu and brings new breakfast and brunch options. Under the emblem of "Japan our way," the new menu navigates between tradition and authorship, with creations from executive chef Jun Hirooka. One of the highlights is the Japanese breads made in-house, such as Garlic Softbun (R$18), buttery and slightly sweet, filled with cream cheese and finished with toasted garlic and parmesan. The Tuna Tartare Toast (R$47) features fresh tuna, avocado, ponzu sauce, soft-boiled egg, chili crispy oil, special sauce, and togarashi. The sandwiches, classics in Japanese cuisine, gain a special touch in the house. This is the case of the Ebi Katsu Sando (R$57), breaded shrimp with spicy mayonnaise.
