Dubbed Super Salone , the Salone del Mobile in Milan 2021 takes place this week with the aim of discussing topics such as innovation and sustainability. There are 425 brands on display in just 4 pavilions at the Fair's Exhibition Complex in Rho . And to welcome visitors, right at the entrance a green barrier formed by a hundred trees welcomes everyone. A sort of small forest created in collaboration between Salone del Mobile and Forestami sets the tone for the Super Salone. The forest does not stop at the entrance, but extends right into the heart of the event: another hundred trees have been positioned within the various exhibition areas and of relaxation. This project aims to continue even after the event, with the planting of 3 million trees in the metropolitan city of Milan by 2030 .

The trees arranged in wooden containers give the space a fluid and lively feel. These characteristics were clearly reflected in the purpose of this year’s Salone del Mobile: a true manifesto of life, humanity and harmony for the world.

Sustainability is a pillar that guides the exhibitions at the Salone del Mobile in Milan . Sustainable attitudes, which were already being considered in previous editions, are now gaining visibility in 2021, especially with the reuse of materials and the practice of recycling. Aran Cucine stood out with a sustainable proposal called "Oasi Kitchen", which brings, in a single piece, not only an entire built-in, functional and modern kitchen, but the very "narrative of everything that surrounds it". The space was signed by none other than the curator Stefano Boeri himself, who combined technology and naturalization to rescue what is essential for the individual. Supersalone runs until September 10th, check out the highlights of the edition here .
