52 spaces are more than enough to enchant visitors to
CASACOR Brasília 2022 , but another element of the exhibition has been captivating those who pass by:
the design pieces . In its final stretch, with the closing scheduled for Wednesday, November 2, the exhibition presents a selection of
iconic furniture that not only reinforces the choices of the participating architects and designers, but also gives the public the opportunity to personally see emblematic pieces from the history of design. Below, we have selected the pieces that attract the most attention in the spaces. Check them out!
Pioneers in the transformation of Brazilian design into industrial design,
Sergio Rodrigues and
Joaquim Tenreiro worked together to build the Pair of Stools with natural straw tops that make up
Victor Veiga 's space, Lavabo Urbano.

Rodrigues is also present in the Janelas do Nosso Mar space, by architect
Larissa Dias . The choice was for the pair of Poltrona Mole, which emerged as
a reduction of a sofa made in 1957 to order by photographer Otto Stupakoff. The piece won an award in 1961 at the International Furniture Competition in Cantu, Italy, and is part of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

The space also features several pieces by
Jader Almeida : the Garten, Mepi, Air and Trinta side tables, the Saturday Nest sofa, the May armchair, the Teca+Elle system, the Docc pendants and the Memory II wall lamp.

Guilherme Wentz also composes the environment with the Fold Sofa, the Gravata Armchair and the Volta tea table.

The Blues Chair, by the
Fahrer brothers , is a real eye-catcher at the entrance to
Maria Araujo 's space, Quarto Infinito.
A limited edition, there are only a few pieces available worldwide – the one on display in the space is from the Hill House collection. The furniture, which dates back to 1992, was made from a flexible material made from 1,500 melted guitar picks.

The architect's space is also marked by the distinctive design of the Cama Dobra, by
Guilherme Wentz . The designer's new release proposes folding a soft material: foam.

Despite her Italian origins,
Lina Bo Bardi built her career in architecture in Brazil. In 1951, she designed the LBB01 light fixture for the Casa de Vidro, a landmark in modern Brazilian architecture. It was a pendant with a rigid stem and adjustable shades. Years later, the piece was reissued in partnership with the Bardi Institute, incorporating LED technology. The furniture is part of architect
Hélio Albuquerque 's proposal for Particu-LAR e infinito.
Casa da Colina, by
Ney Lima and
Walléria Teixeira , manages to mix concepts and trends. On one side, the Poltrona N, by
Zanine Caldas , manufactured in the 1950s in Jequitibá. On the other, the modern Met Sofa, by
Jader Almeida , which features a voluminous upholstered structure, covered with a loose seat, backrest, pouf and cushions. The space also features the Hill House Chair by
Charles Rennie Mackintosh . Known for its unusual proportions, the work is distinguished by its high, narrow backrest, a characteristic that became a hallmark of the chairs made by the Scottish designer, one of the most important designers of the Art Nouveau movement in the world.

Alê Neves and
Gero Tavares present at PAUSAPRAGMA a new product designed by
Vinícius Siega . It is the ARCA Chair, a piece with a split seat and back, with ample proportions supported by a solid wood structure with organic shapes.

CASACOR house the Loop Chair, by
Willy Guhl : the Bathroom Room, by
Eduardo Brito ; and the Urban Lavatory, by
Victor Veiga .

The lighting fixtures by designer
Waldir Junior steal the show in Hotel Suite / Suite 11, by
Ana Paula Onzi . The space features four pendants by the artist: Cablight, Suspended Pendant, Spot Mini Angles and Movement Pendant. The work of the São Paulo native is recognized as one of the most important when it comes to contemporary lighting.
Demonstrating the role of lighting in projects, Studio do Designer, from
Studio Varanda , has the Adobe Floor Lamp, by
Guilherme Wentz . A pendant with diffused light, steel structure, marble base, a blown glass diffuser with a matte finish and integrated LED. With subtle and diffused light, it can be used as a sculptural element and complementary light.

The Arena Lounge, by
Angela Feitoza and
Yassmin Awwad , features the Kye Armchair, a piece with a mix of longitudinal and rounded lines, designed by
Luan Del Savio . The space also has the Medellín Coffee Table, by
Paulo Sartori , a piece that focuses on geometric shapes; and the Equilíbrio Side Table, by
Bruno Simões , a design with organic shapes and complementary colors.
