Inspired by pearl necklaces, the work honors the Afro-Brazilian women who marked the designer's journey, symbols of affection, strength, and ancestry. Just as the pearl is shaped by the shell, the chair reinterprets intimate experiences, transforming them into permanence. Its organic curves and fluid lines evoke softness and continuity, while the repurposed solid wood conveys presence and structure.
Produced from scraps and waste from the industry, each chair is unique, revealing in its grain and texture the story of the raw material. The circular forms reference both the aesthetics of pearls and attributes associated with femininity, creating a dialogue between delicacy and firmness.
“Pearls is not just a chair; it is a body of memory. It is the desire to honor the women who came before me and to propose a design that moves, narrates, and endures,” Oher affirms. Available in different finishes, the piece reaffirms the commitment to conscious design and the appreciation of Brazilian cultural heritage.
