The use of
authored furniture in interior design has been gaining more and more space by adding
identity, exclusivity, and appreciation of
craftsmanship to the projects. Authored furniture carries the designer's signature, translating stories, concepts, and cultural references into unique forms and has gained prominence in
CASACOR Brasília 2025, which can be visited at the Casa do Candango until October 12.
Marcella Schiavoni e Felipe Zorzeto - Lounge Bar BRB. (Edgard Cesar/CASACOR)
Signed by
Marcella Schiavoni and Felipe Zorzeto, the
Lounge Bar BRB space draws inspiration from European hotel bars, with low armchairs, intimate lighting, and a revival of the
modernist spirit of Brasília from the 1960s, reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective. The project combines pieces sourced from antique shops with authored creations by Zorzeto: the
Zé armchair — a tribute to the master carpenter who leads his team — and the
Tião buffet, a multifunctional modular system launched in this edition of the exhibition, capable of transforming into a buffet, rack, or console with a clean and versatile design.
Márcia Montenegro Arquitetos Associados - Raízes by Breton. Projeto da CASACOR Brasília 2025. (Edgard Cesar/CASACOR)
In the
Raízes By Breton project, signed by
Márcia Montenegro, Brazilian authored design takes center stage through a curation that brings together
exclusive pieces from different contemporary creators, in a space proposing a sensory refuge with
subtle references to oriental architecture. Among the highlights are the Bobô armchair and magazine rack by Larissa Perna; the
Falésia chair, the Enseada armchair, and the
Ilha coffee tables by Fernanda Marques; and the
Luna Game Table by Karol Suguikawa; in addition to the
Emoções side table by Luisa Moysés and the
Oficina Chair by Bruno Niz.
Giovanna Leal Arquitetos - Living Permanecer. (Edgard Cesar/CASACOR)
In the
Living Permanecer project, designed by
Giovanna Leal, authored furniture stands out by dialoguing with the concept of coziness and connection with affective memory. Pieces like the
Jangada Armchair by Jean Gillon, the
Flutua pendant by André Ferri, the
Landscape Sofa and the
Mantiqueira Dining Table by Fernanda Marques, and the
Avany Armchair by Victor Vasconcelos give the space a
unique identity, combining comfort, aesthetics, and functionality. Each piece is
carefully inserted to enhance social interaction and the fluidity of the projects, transforming the living area into a sophisticated refuge that respects artisanal tradition and contemporary innovation.

In addition to being functional, authored furniture becomes
true works of art within the projects, capable of
imprinting personality and authenticity. This choice also reinforces the
appreciation of national design and the connection between tradition and contemporaneity, bringing sophistication and originality to the spaces.
