During the Milan Furniture Fair, photos of the Italian city pop up on the profiles of our fellow architects. But... we almost always see the same landscapes, places, and people on all their timelines. To help you have a new (and unique!) experience in 2016, decoration and architecture photographer Guido Barbagelata helped me choose new or little-known spots in Milan that are worth a visit. Guido is from Genoa, but has lived in Milan for 20 years. We started with the Prada Foundation - opened in 2015 - which occupies the building of an old distillery in an industrial neighborhood. Prada called on Rem Koolhaas, a Dutch architect, and his Oma Studio to do the retrofit. It has 19,000 m² and 11 buildings where contemporary pieces from the Prada Collection are distributed, as well as temporary exhibitions curated by great artists. Do you like Wes Anderson? Then start your tour at Bar Luce - which has decor designed by the film director, inspired by old Milan from the last century. Do you also have a unique and cool address in Milan?
