The largest annual design event in the world, the Milan Design Week is coming! From April 7 to April 13, 2025, events, exhibitions, and special programs will be spread across different areas of the Italian city. Below, we will share details about the main events and districts of the Milan Design Week 2025.

Salone del Mobile


The largest event of Milan's design week is the Salone del Mobile, which will be located at the Fiera Milano exhibition center from April 8 to April 13, 2025. The fair hosts over 2,000 exhibitors and showcases products ranging from furniture, lighting, appliances, kitchen, bathroom, outdoor area, and workspace from thousands of brands.

This year, the Salone del Mobile presents the theme Thought for Humans,” created by New York artist and photographer Bill Durgin. The initiative places humans at the center of the narrative, highlighting design as an essential element to enhance everyday quality of life.

Alongside the Salone del Mobile, Milan transforms into a grand stage for design with the Fuorisalone, a series of events distributed across various districts of the city. Installations, exhibitions, and lectures fill iconic neighborhoods, creating an immersive experience that is accessible to the public. For this edition, the Fuorisalone presents the theme “Mondi Connessi” (Connected Worlds), exploring the intersection between innovation, nature, and humanity.

Design Districts


During Milan Design Week 2025, several districts of the city will transform into creative hubs, hosting exhibitions, installations, and events that explore the trends and innovations of contemporary design.

Brera Design District


Located in the heart of Milan, the Brera Design District is one of the main meeting points of the Milano Design Week. Known for its artistic atmosphere and its blend of design, culture, and lifestyle, this district hosts renowned brands and new talents.
For the 2025 edition, Brera promises to reinforce its identity as a hub of creative excellence, featuring exhibitions, installations and lectures that highlight the relationship between design and sustainable innovation.

Tortona Design Week


One of the most visited districts during the event, Tortona maintains its tradition as an epicenter of creativity. Known for its industrial past and its contemporary galleries, the neighborhood hosts the Tortona Rocks 2025, which celebrates ten years of experimentation and innovation. With the theme “Unframed Design”, this edition's proposal is to break conventions and encourage new approaches in design, bringing interactive experiences.

5Vie Design Week


The 5Vie Design District, located in the historic center of Milan, stands out for its focus on collectible design and high craftsmanship. In 2025, the program will expand to new spaces, including the Palazzo Correnti and the Cavallerizze at the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology. One of the highlights will be the exhibition “Abject: Inhabit the Poché,” by designer Misha Kahn, who experiments with various materials, such as wood, glass, and porcelain, challenging the limits of aesthetics and functionality.

The Isola Design Festival 2025 returns with an expanded program, reinforcing its commitment to independent and sustainable design. In addition to the already known spaces, such as Lampo Milano and WAO PL7, the event will expand to the Galleria Bonelli, bringing exhibitions, performances, and workshops that explore the future of design through innovation and circularity.
