Sabrina Salles, an architect who participated in CASACOR São Paulo in 2022, and Sérgio de Albanesi, CEO of Sergon Elétrica e Iluminação, say that linear lighting is capable of bringing a very surprising contemporary touch. "It is a contemporary lighting that plays an important role but discreet in decoration ”, says Sérgio.

A clever way to use linear lighting is to embed it in the carpentry . “This is a cleaner way to use this lighting. When it’s off, it doesn’t stand out and has a diffuse light that illuminates well,” reveals Sabrina. The architect also warns: in environments where you want to create a focal point for light, it may not be a good idea to invest in linear lighting. “If you don’t want to emphasize the effect of the light, opt for indirect lighting built into the cove,” she explains.

It is also important to think about which environments will receive this lighting. In more cozy places, Sérgio says that warm white — or neutral white/warm light — is an alternative. In offices, which value concentration, it is best to bet on a white lighting even.
