Gustavo Neves and Iran Junior launch first collection of Orbital rugs

The first line of rugs signed by the Le Fatagis studio, formed by architect Gustavo Neves and visagist Iran Junior , is launched exclusively at Oriente-se Tapetes, located in the Casahall Design District, in Balneário Camboriú . The choice of the showroom demonstrates the resonance that the duo finds with store owner Cris Iglesi a s , in charge of the address, which has marked its trajectory with a collection of pieces that elevate the presence of tapestry as a work of art in the composition of spaces. "When I joined Oriente-se, I was sure we would work together", reveals architect Gustavo Neves. Since 2020, together with the artist and visagist Iran Junior, Neves has created another relationship with the materials already available in circulation on the market through the Le Fatagis project. Until now, many collections have been launched in exclusive series across the country, mining raw materials acquired at auctions and antique shops and remodeling sculptural pieces and home objects produced by hand and artistically .

The Orbital collection is one of them. Composed of seven carpet models that have as their guiding thread the seasons of the year and the phenomena of Nature so necessary for the existence of humanity. "We produce rugs the way the Orientals used to do, bringing together Brazilian culture, the manual work of crocheters, how we think about creating furniture , objects and works of art. Oriente-se has this work of valuing ancestral techniques , art in the vein", highlight the artists. The showcase installation presents pieces made from jute – from the Eclipse, Solstice Summer and Winter lines – braided manually. The duo created a kind of chest as an idea alluding to the traces left by the current generation's passage on Earth and calls for reflection on the traces of that time that will be deciphered in the future, 3 thousand years from now. In a scene with the Le Fatagis design, the Sumê chair combines with the Solstice Summer, Winter and Eclipses models. Also distributed throughout the space are the Boreal, Austral, Crochet Organic Shawls and the Tropos, Extracts, Mesos, Terms, Exos line.
