Business, innovation and design for the furniture sector are the premises of the
Fimma and Movelsu l fairs that begin today at the
Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves (RS). They will take place together between August 28th and 31st and will bring the main innovations from the entire furniture production chain to what is recognized as the largest national meeting in the segment. With over 500 exhibiting brands, the International Fair of Suppliers of the Wood and Furniture Production Chain (
Fimma Brasil) has been held since 1993 by the Furniture Industry Association of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Movergs) with the aim of supporting the development of the sector, anticipating trends and showcasing the best in high technology and innovation. The
president of the entity, Euclides Longhi, emphasizes that, more than generating business, the fair promotes innovation, partnerships and knowledge exchange. “With exhibitors of cutting-edge technologies, inputs, machinery, services and equipment, Fimma presents solutions for companies of different sizes to innovate their processes and become more competitive in the market. In addition, contact with other professionals, through the exchange of experiences and content on topics relevant to the sector, helps to align important partnerships, seize opportunities and broaden horizons”, he comments.

Movelsul Brasil focuses on large furniture retailers – bringing together furniture industries (especially mass-produced and modular), decoration, mattresses, upholstery, custom-made and corporate furniture. With 22 editions held since 1977 by the
Furniture Industry Union of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) , it is a reference for visiting retailers, retail chains, corporate buyers, investors, architects, designers and importers. Looking forward to the next edition, the president of Sindmóveis, Gisele Dalla Costa, explains that Movelsul Brasil is a great showcase for brands to present their new products to an extremely qualified audience. “Those who visit Movelsul will find the main Brazilian furniture brands, and will be able to talk to the exhibitors to learn about new products and unique features. The fair will allow shopkeepers and retailers to anticipate their purchasing plans for 2024, generating great business even in the medium term”, he highlights. Business promotion will be even more prominent in this edition. In addition to the presence of international buyers invited by the fair, Movelsul will feature Brazilian Furniture – a project by Abimóvel and ApexBrasil – which will bring importers from the main countries in the sector to negotiate directly with exhibitors. The business rounds promoted by Sebrae/RS will promote meetings between invited national retailers and micro and small companies that are looking for new partnerships.
